I always look forward to this time of year when the Oktoberfest beers show up for me to try. These are the ones I've been sampling this fall so far.

Nice selections GT! I’m getting out this weekend to pick up a decent supply of Oktoberfest. I’ll keep an eye out for something I haven’t tried before, but it’s hard to beat Founders.

A few recent beverage and blade pics I had posted elsewhere but not in here.

Surly Brewing looks familiar to me, Barrett. I think my daughter and her fiancé drink Surly products frequently. When we visited them in June 2022, I think they bought me a 6-pack of Surly porter or stout, but when I tried to find it on the Surly website this morning, I was totally overwhelmed by the sheer number of different varieties of brews that company has! 😲

How was the big green can of Oktoberfest beer? I tend to enjoy the darker amber Märzen beers, like yours, more than I do the pale golden festbiers.

Having a month on the waggon! 😭

Enjoy your dry October, Jack!:cool::thumbsup:
I've never tried abstaining for a month, but if I did, it certainly wouldn't be in October with the appearance of all the seasonal Oktoberfests that I look forward to.

Surly is pretty big around here, and they make some good beers. They have a massive brewery/beer hall/restaurant in Minneapolis, close to the university.

The Oktoberfest was decent, not the best I’ve had, but not bad. I was given the four pack of “crowlers” from one of my wife’s coworkers, and that was the first one I tried. A couple of the others, like the S’mores Stout and Coffee Chocolate Golden Ale, could prove to be… interesting.

Thanks for the feedback, Barrett. :)
Seeing that S'mores Stout in your photo reminded me that I once bought a 12-pack of 3 kinds of Shiner, one of which was called S'more Ale. This morning, I found the post in this thread in which I mentioned that ale, and I claimed there that I thought it was quite good, even though I tasted no marshmallow mixed in with the hints of chocolate. I remarked that not tasting marshmallow was probably a good thing IMO.
