Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

Jeremy, Laphroaig 18 is the best Scotch I've had, but unfortunately that expression isn't available here in the States any more. Uigeadail is a powerhouse and Lag 16 is the best balanced. Right now I have a bottle of Jura 10 which is a delightful dram for little $$.

Thanks for the reply Jeff. I never had the pleasure of trying to 18 though I do love the quarter cask. Ever had the Laphroaig Select? Price point is between the 10 and the QC - also on my list eventually.

Jura and Springbank are two Islay-like distilleries that I haven’t tried yet - the latter harder to find around me. I’ll have to get some Jura 10 on my next run!

Whenever I have a little bit of spending money accumulated I’m always battling internally between Scotch and a new knife… 😅

Right now I’m enjoying a dram of my budget-blend of choice… the monkeys.

Ya might enjoy post 2737 and 2738 here:

Thanks for the pointers, awesome awesome stories! Loved 2718 too! 🤠 Thanks for sharing (then and now).:thumbsup: Did she ever make a ball?

No sir she did not! He's out of the military now but we see him often as he moved back to here and found a suitable job and has a nice place just a few miles away. Yeah that 2718 is a cool one too. I just mentioned that story to my son Logan a couple months back. He says yeah it pretty much happened that way but I think Tom was exaggerating some, He says it was only 85-87 head something like that. peanutsxx peanutsxx

Logan: 😂 what an awesome dude! Too bad about the ball but probably not a huge miss other than to say "yeah, been there". You have a fine family, immediate and extended! 🫡
