Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

I haven't posted in this thread for about 6 weeks, even though I drink a beer almost every night with my evening meal! o_O

My daughter and son-in-law visited us the entire week of Thanksgiving (and plan to visit the husband's family over the Christmas holidays). So we had Thanksgiving and Christmas sort of simultaneously at the end of November. One of the gifts the "kids" gave me was a 12-pack of 4 assorted beers from the local Founders Brewery, and one of the gifts Gandalf, our dog, gave to my wife and me was a Victorinox folding paring knife with serrated blade. Here's the knife with one of the Founders beers called Blonde Roast. The beer was supposed to be brewed with coffee, but I didn't notice much of a coffee flavor when I first drank it. Interestingly, I had a couple of inches of the brew in my glass an hour later, and when I finally finished that, I sensed very strong coffee taste and aroma! Since then, I've finished all 3 cans of Blonde Roast that were in the 12-pack, and I think it's a pretty good beer.

Founder's does make some good beers. Have you ever tried their Kentucky Breakfast Stout? Or the Canadian Breakfast Stout? Excellent thick barrel aged beers!

Last year, my daughter gave me some KBS for Christmas. It was very good, but 12%ABV is probably too "high octane" for me! 🤓
The Founders brews I drink most often are probably Dirty Bastard and Founders Porter.

I live about 60 miles from Bell's Brewery, so I'm familiar with many of their products. For me, Kalamazoo Stout was what I always thought of when anyone mentioned stout brewed by Bell's. But not too long ago, I found Bell's Expedition Stout, a Russian Imperial stout I hadn't tried (or seen) before. I bought a 6-pack and discovered that it's very tasty, but at 10.5% ABV, it's stronger than most beers I drink. (But that's probably common for the Russian Imperial stouts I've tried.) It's a good beverage, but I don't think I'll buy it very often.
