How does Ultimate compare to the standard Founders Oktoberfest, Patrick??

I've been cutting Way back with beverages, as I saw how bad my dad got in his later years...but, celebrating cleaning/snaking a bad plumbing drain yesterday, I bought some drinks for at home...it's been a few months....that beer tasted So good!

I’d say its pretty good, a little bitter, but I prefer the standard for sure. Although this is almost twice as potent which is nice.

I like some beers I've had with high ABV, but my wife claims they make me "chatty", which is apparently less than ideal, so I try not to drink the potent ones very often.

So most Oktoberfest brews are quite moderate, 5-7% ABV I think, which is another reason I like them. Here are some photos of the packaging for Great Lakes Oktoberfest, with a German fixed blade my wife uses frequently in the kitchen and a Rough Rider carbon steel folding hunter.

I've had Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest with my supper on a couple of recent evenings; good but rather hop-forward for my taste:

At this time of year, I have a variety of Oktoberfest beers on hand, as well as some porters and/or stouts and/or double bocks. But I still have a Killian's Red with my supper 2 or 3 nights per week - inexpensive, always available, and tastes pretty good to me.

When in Athens, do as the Athenians do.... drink Mythos. It's actually not a bad beer at all.... along with the SAK... the only knife I took with me on the cruise....
This was in a patio style cafe just beside the Agora, below the Acropolis. So much history to see.... I'm still a bit overwhelmed...
