We all know the hazards of interracial diplomacy. Lord knows I've done my bit to bolster Aus/NZ relations.😅👍...but these guys have hit it for six( knocked it out of the park)..Mountain Culture ..Katoomba NSW and Garage Project Wellington NZ.
Collaboration and it's good

Although I drink mostly Oktoberfest beers as my supper beverage at this time of year, I'll drink some other type of beer 2 or 3 nights a week with my evening meal. Here's a recent "change of pace" I picked up: Bell's Special Double Cream Stout.

I am mostly a Bourbon guy but I’ve been wanting some Rye here lately. I picked up these two bottles recently. Both are new to me. I’m sipping the Chattanooga 99 Malted Rye tonight.

So far, I like the Chattanooga. The palate is quite a bit different than the nose which I’m finding to be a good thing.

The knife is a Boker Boy Scout which is the smallest model in the Boker Scout trio.

Those look yummy, Rick, I'm very much a Rye Guy!
After a few more sips of the Chattanooga 99, I’m happy that I bought it. I’m not really the kind of guy that picks up on all the subtle nuances like some of the reviewers do but I like it. It tastes like I expect a good Rye to taste.

I drove a 90 mile round trip to obtain the Dark Arts because it was the only place around here that had it. Didn’t really want to order it online. A long time friend and drinking companion from the past recommended it and I hope it was worth the trip and the price. I suspect it will be and I’m anxious to find out.

I make statewide deliveries as a part time job in my retirement. The liquor store that I drove to for the Dark Arts today is literally right on the route that I drive on Tuesdays. All I would have to do is pull into the parking lot but my employer would understandably frown on that. Or worse so I drove there today on my own time and gas despite how tempting it was to wait until Tuesday.

……….. very nice.!

Would love to try some - gonna have to find a place in UK where I can try ‘em all out, rather than buying a bottle and making a mistake

I worry about making a mistake also but it’s way in the back of my mind. I have found that I like almost all whiskies at least enough to finish the bottle. I have only dumped one bottle down the drain because I just couldn’t enjoy it and that was well over a decade ago.

I am either not too picky or I just like whiskey no matter what kind it is.
