Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

The heat is so bad today, I had to break out my frosty Yeti cup from the freezer. Back to my old and faithful Camillus C4 tonight, while I grill steaks and do some home repairs.

Fantastic brews—beer and coffee alike—and blades gentlemen. It's too late in the evening for me to be enjoying coffee, but I think I'm going to have to look up how to make my own cold brew for the weekend, though.

In the mean time, it's a Craftsman 9494 and a Stone seasonal IPA for me:

Edit: I looked up a recipe and got a batch started. Cold brew coffee will be enjoyed tomorrow morning.

I commend you for your choice in knife and beer!!!

Here's some info about it from the Coffee thread in the Community Center subforum, Greg. http://www.bladeforums.com/threads/coffee.1129121/page-92
There's a couple pics of my inexpensive cold brew maker on page 93. I usually let mine go for closer to 24 hours, but you can play around with the brew time and how much you dilute the concentrate depending on your personal preference.

I like that Craftsman also. It's a Camillus 72 pattern, right? I have one of the BSA versions and it is a sentimental favorite because it was the first knife I bought with my own money as a teenager.

Thanks Buzz. I think we share an appreciation of both IPAs and old, well-executed delrin. :)

Thanks for the coffee info, Dan. I'll definitely be taking a look. I hadn't realized there was a coffee thread.

Regarding the Craftsman, good eyes! It's either Schrade or Ulster's take on the Camillus 72 pattern. I've read different accounts of who made them, perhaps they both did at different times.

Here's a side-by-side comparison with my BSA version of the Camillus 72:

If you're curious about the history of the pattern and its variations, I highly recommend this post. Lots of great info there.
