It actually was a pretty good beer, I was hesitant at first. But it was worth a try!A creamsicle beer?? Very interesting
Belated thanks for the kind words, Greg!...
A splendid multinational collection, GT! Glad to see your new A. Wright Lambsfoot again.
...
Sippin' and whittlin'.

I hope everyone else is having an equally enjoyable weekend. Cheers!
Kinda cool to see the "time-lapse photography" documenting of your cowboy, Greg!...
This evening I'm enjoying a new-to-me porter from Heretic while relaxing in the backyard with a whittling project.

Great knife, and having an MLB team's logo on a beer can is WAY cool!
The ironwood covers on your knife are spectacular, Brett!
Looks like very pleasant property you maintain there, Gary!Spent a good part of the day out working in the yard. A nice cold Pilsner hit the spot. Shared it with my Halfrich Rounder. Well not really. The Rounder got to watch me drink it.

Thanks for the informative link, Greg!...
Regarding the Craftsman, good eyes! It's either Schrade or Ulster's take on the Camillus 72 pattern. I've read different accounts of who made them, perhaps they both did at different times.
Here's a side-by-side comparison with my BSA version of the Camillus 72:

If you're curious about the history of the pattern and its variations, I highly recommend this post. Lots of great info there.
Great pair of knives, donn, and I'll bet I'd enjoy that imperial Russian stout, too!
As usual, Buzz, superb scout on your person! This one kicked my butt last night. It's like drinking a boilermaker in a bottle. Absurdly potent beer. And a Camilkus C4.

Bombshell of a Böker, Kris!Great beer Buzz, my local Pourhouse just put it on tap. I really like Founders, it just recently came available in MT, just put the All Day IPA on tap at home.
Smoking ribs today,

you can pick up a keg of All Day IPA for home use? I didn't realize that!
Kinda cool to see the "time-lapse photography" documenting of your cowboy, Greg!I remember reading in some thread that working on his collar (or kerchief or whatever clothes near his neck) almost resulted in decapitation!
Now when I see him, I think of a gunfighter called the "Pencil-Neck Kid", and can imagine how the derogatory comments of cruel individuals could have pushed him into his life lived by the gun!
That Heretic Porter looks like a brew I'd enjoy.Chocolate and Hazelnuts are the main ingredients in Nutella, right?
Thanks for the reply, Greg. Apologies not necessary; if you're at all like me, there are certain threads that you only get to once or twice a week!...
Apologies for neglecting to reply to this earlier, GT.
I'm glad you enjoyed the progress pictures. Most of it was carved while sitting out back, sipping a variety of brews, so it's only natural some photos ended up here.I'm going to have to look up the legend of the Pencil-neck Kid. Thanks for that!
You are correct on the Nutella ingredients.. The porter was OK: perhaps a bit sweet for my taste, without a lot of complexity to offset it. There standard Shallow Grave Porter is much better, in my opinion.
Tonight I'm enjoying the last of a growler of English IPA which was filled from a hand-pull beer engine at Freewheel Brewery, which specializes in British-style ales. It seemed only fitting to pair it with my relatively new-to-me Sheffield-stamped stockman....
