donn I looked up a description of that ale and it sounds great. I wish more breweries in the US would make tasty low-ABV real ales. May I ask what the knife is?

Apologies WhittlingAway I must of missed your reply. It's an Otter Messer Sodbuster (small size). I ordered it direct from Otter Messer in Germany a couple of years ago. Carbon steel; just a decent no-frills pocket knife. They ship to the US but I don't know what postage is like.

The beverage was essentially a Kentucky Mule, but made with ginger syrup and soda water instead of ginger beer.

Sometimes the fancy cocktails and craft beers can't stack up to a simple beer, a warm summer sunset, cicadas singing, and some good music. Brilliant cutlery doesn't hurt, either.
