Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

Hanging together like two old friends. Ommegang Nirvana and the Texas Camp Knife.

Buzzbait Buzzbait looks like your old friends get along nicely.

Pàdruig Pàdruig nice combination all around. Rosie looks quite at home with that brilliant tankard and old-fashioned rocket logo.

donn donn I looked up a description of that ale and it sounds great. I wish more breweries in the US would make tasty low-ABV real ales. May I ask what the knife is?

A copper container and Antique Autumn Jigged Bone for me this evening.

Cheers everyone. Happy Friday. I hope you all have a refreshing weekend.

Furthermore, is that Bourbon or Rye? I've had a couple Bulleit Rye Old Fashioneds today, which will help with being around my wife's family this evening. :D:rolleyes:

Apologies WhittlingAway I must of missed your reply. It's an Otter Messer Sodbuster (small size). I ordered it direct from Otter Messer in Germany a couple of years ago. Carbon steel; just a decent no-frills pocket knife. They ship to the US but I don't know what postage is like.

That's quite a concoction you have there. It looks like a nice summer drink

Thanks for the info donn donn . I don't think I'd seen an Otter Messer sodbuster before. Looks like a nice knife.

The beverage was essentially a Kentucky Mule, but made with ginger syrup and soda water instead of ginger beer.

Keg blew last night, Deschutes Fresh Squeezed, so back to All Day IPA until tomorrow when I should have a Founders Centennial IPA keg. About to fire up some Fogo for the Big Green Egg, hope everyone is having a nice day.

The wharncliffe blade makes for a great secondary, Rick Menefee dogleg
