this guy told me he would sell leatherman tti and Blackhawk holster sent me a paypal actually clanton is his screen name here but he sent me clantons paypal saying it was his paypal. lazy otter insisted I backed out out of deal but if I sent payment how could I back out of deal he is putting words in mouth and is a scammer. He will not send me the knife. after replying saying im a lier and I backed out and wanted something else even though I explicitly said tti and sheath he said I backed out how did I back out if I typed in ok and sent payment to that email. he said he wouldn't send it then just now after I got hold of clanton he sent an email saying sorry for losing temper ill send you it as soon as I get my knives from clanton. lazy otter used clantons paypal to get others to pay for him(clanton said 3). lazy otter told clanton I would get friends to pay. I even got a hold of clanton the person whos paypal he sent me "insert clantons paypal address here"and he replied saying the above and he even thought something was fishy.

Are you serious! He sold you an item with my PayPal I have payments from 3 different people he told me he was getting friends to pay for him. I'm sorry I thought this was fishy I'll refund your money as soon as I get in contact with PayPal to tell them about this.


I opened case in paypal and clanton said lazy otter told him 3 friends would pay for him so that lazy otter could get clantons knives. I will be going through paypal to get my money back if clanton doesn't refund.

Sounds messy. I can vouche for Clanton, wouldn't want his name to get dragged through the mud. He is 100% solid.
 
then after contacting clanton(bf name) the person whos paypal address he sent me. after sending multiple emails saying I was backing out even though I sent payment and Im a liar all of a sudden lazy otter pms me this
I'm sorry I let my temper and outside things get in the way and I'm sorry! If you would still like to do the deal let the seller the guy who you were trying to PayPal a heads up that we worked it out and as soon as he ships it I will too I'll even print out a shipping label . Once again I'm sorry for my actions and attitude .

yah I think clanton just got sucked into it and is just as much a victim as me and the 3 others clanton mentioned
 
that sucks this guy tried to scam both you and (presumably) clanton, at least you'll get your money back. people come up with the most ridiculous scams. i would never send anything to an address other than the registered paypal address.
 
yes but I asked him what address is your paypal and he just sent me clantons I assumed it was lazy otters. until I asked if he received payment then answers got fishy and I dug deeper.
 
This was a dumbAss who didn't listen when I said it would ship Monday so he acts like a brat and makes up bs to cover his tracks .....once again it ships on Monday not Sarirday or Sunday but monday.....if you still want it it's yours and will ship Monday!' Just let me know if you want it or are gonna bail again which you did since you couldn't get your PayPal to work you said you found something else you wanted And remember I got pissed cuz I boxed it up and ready to go Monday !but you didn't want it and said your PayPal was never accepted! So it's In your hands now!

I wanted proof my knives were on the way and I was absolutely gonna send you your knife! Ask all the people I deAl with!

I am having a difficult time understanding the OP, and at this point maybe communication was the issue?

U never said ud send it Monday until now. And u are making up stories. U said u wouldn't send it. Until I got a hold of Clanton through paypal. Looks like u are trying to cover your tracks. I am done with this thread for now as I think it speaks for itself. Work too hard to be bothered by this so will get my money back and once I do this is a thing of past

It would be same day mail drop with pics and tracking numbers ! I was not asking I got his 1st before I shipped mine I just wanted to ship on the same day with pics and tracking numbers

Sorry but I did say Monday its on my list for monday......I'm sure that Arm chair Rambo job is exhausting
 
I know u don't u didn't tell me until after I payed u told me to get lost and u wouldn't ship it since never got payment. I then got a hold of clanton and now you say all this and change story and making things up. And as I said in private I don't trust u and asking clanton for refund and if I don't get it escalating it in paypal

I would never send anything to an address other than the registered paypal address, either.

If the deal went bad, PayPal would say your money didn't pay the right person. That's almost as bad as using PayPal gift.

Did you buy a leatherman from lazyotter? If so I think I have your money,I'm sorry for all this B.S he told me you were a friend of his paying for him. I trying to figure out what is going on here. He told me he was shipping your leatherman on monday. Don't worry about your money I'll send it back to you just waiting to see if this guy is trying to rip me off.

I do not even know lazyotter and the last thing I am is his friend so again this speaks for itself. He told me he didn't get money and he wont send it until I made issue of it. I believe clanton will end up refunding my money, we will see. as soon as I get my money back Ill be fine. I did use paypal goods if paypal wont refund taking it to my credit card company.

Once Clanton chimes in here it should offer some clarity.

Lazy otter were you trying to basically do a 3 way trade without using a PayPal account of your own?
 
I was one of the people that recently sent money to clanton on Nick's (lazy otter) behalf. It was my understanding that lazy otter was trying to buy a knife from BF member clanton. Lazy otter does not have a PayPal account (I've 'PayPaled' people here on BF a few times in the past on his behalf because he doesn't have a PayPal account). He had put a couple of items up for sale and asked the people buying the items to send the money to clanton instead of to him in order to pay clanton for the knife he wanted. At least that is what I thought was happening.
