Yes, that is me. I have not used the address for maybe one year since it was freemail and very unreliable. Why do you ask?

My last post pretty much summed it up. I do not think this J. McClain is ever likely to make good on his part. His words on this thread and in previous e mails sent to me speaks for itself.

It is notable that fellow member Brian E has not been squared by J. McClain either. And since last year. Have any of the moderators made attempts to contact him as was done with another member (Joebe) who is the topic of another recent GBU thread? There have been (former) members who were banned from this forum as a result of similar actions, including the use of profanity. Where does this J. McClain, currently as "LandRover", stand?

"Land Rover" actually hasn't posted on Bladeforums since his farewell post in this thread on May 30. I suppose we could ban him anyway just as a token of our regard....
 
So let it be done. This way a record is established. Sure he can come back under another alias. So that others may be made aware I will post his full mailing info once it is made official. Cougar...

He's now threatened to sue us as well over "slander" and "libel" over this thread. Sucks to be him.

I guess I'll just have to forward copies of http://www.bladeforums.com/copyright2.shtml to the judge should we actually get a legal notice.

That is, if the case does indeed get shown to have any legal merit, which is doubtful at best.

It is my <b>opinion</b> that if he has indeed registered 3 times, and proceeded to fail to follow through on trades / sales on each of these times, then he's doing so expressly to defraud the customer base here.

Since he's fond of spouting legalese as well, I think several of you should get together and consider contacting the Postmaster General with regards to mail fraud.

Hey guys, hope im not throwing more gas on the fire ( thats not actually true :)). Just thought Id drop my 2 cents, since this is the same guy as Taipan, and if hes reading this, that SOB still owes me money from a custom order I built for him two years ago. If there is any way to do it, Id like to see the guy get permantly banned, ie, no way in hell he can ever get on here again. -- Charles
 
It"s amazing how many of these people with lousy and incredibly poor ethics threaten to sue when they are outed. Pathetic. These people should just try being honest, but that is probably beyond their abilities.
 
Whomever here who has been defrauded by this clown, report it with the Post Office.He'll have a large enough legal expense defending his own actions,not to worry about sueing anybody else.The guy's a lowlife crooked clown blowing hot air.He probably doesn't even know the meaning of "libel" and "slander"
 
There is no Jeffrey McClain listed with the Missouri state bar. (But maybe he plays one on TV?:rolleyes: )

Principle is always paramount but, now that that has been rather exhaustively dealt with, I'm willing to contribute the $18. which has been a central particular, in order to help restore the peace here in the Forums that I have quickly come to appreciate...

For both of you, "caveat empeor"-let the buyer beware; and let the seller beware if he doesn't do that which he says for the others WILL know and see. I'm new here too but momma taught us to be upfront and square, make this deal "right" so that no bad blood is caused between members. Landrover if you want to save face or your rep eat some crow and do what it takes to correct this.
 
There is a Jeffrey J Mcclain(same name, same address) that bid on a Buck knife I had on Ebay more than a week ago and has refused or hasn't bothered to contact me about it. I have sent several emails to him during the past 10 days but no response.

He has done the same to several others on Ebay. His User ID on Ebay is: camelclassic. Take a look for yourself.

I'm thinking about making a phone call to him now. I've gotten his number from Ebay.

What do you think?
