BEWARE of Jeffrey J. McClain- aka "LandRover"!

Well I'm not going to post his phone number here(though he deserves it!) and since I don't want to get into trouble with Ebay.

You will find the if you use this link (the BellSouth telephone whitepages)

http://www.realwhitepages.com/

and do a search on Jeffrey Mcclain in Missouri you will find our fella's phone number in Eureka, Missouri with the same address that Nakano posted above...

Everyone have a happy Sunday!

Hey Guys..

Not that Kin needs it or anything around here especially,,However I'd like to be a character reference for Kin..

Kin and I have several transactions as I recall..

Kin is a very friendly person, and from what I recall very tolerant.
What he is not is a liar or a cheat...

One thing that I will say for sure about Kin is that he is Extremely particular about his gear.. It has to be first rate and as stated..He has a very high standard and adheres to it.

I found this out when I had to replace one of my sheaths that was defective. I hope the transaction was done to his satisfaction.

Anyway,, if Kin says that the articles were in this condition, I would have to tend to believe him...

Nuff said..

Eric...

I've done business with Kin on several knives and he is most assuredly a man of his word. Landrover violated one of the basic principles of this forum by misrepresenting the items he had for trade. Kin told him that at least one of these coats was destined as a gift. He got coats that were damaged and dirty in return for his knife which was in new condition. I have no use for guys who pull stunts like Landrover has done! We have so many gentlemen involved in this forum who you can trade or buy anything with in total confidence, then along comes an idiot who fouls the waters and creates distrust. Hope Spark kicks him off of the forum before he bones anyone else! Kin, I hope you are able to get that knife back and thanks for exposing this guy!:(

Actually, I think jeffrey did get banned. That didn't help the people he has already burned but at least it stopped him FOR NOW. I figure like a lot of other con artists that he will be back. That is one reason I bump this up once in a while, mainly for the newer members.

Yes, I banned him from Bladeforums as you can see in the earlier pages of this thread, and any time anyone anywhere on the net considers doing business with him and does a net search on "Jeffrey McClain" ... his mailing address and several aliases and email addresses are posted in this thread, too....

Mr. McClain contacted me to buy a couple of Fallkniven's I had listed on another forum...said he'd send the money order last Friday...no money....no response to two emails either....better to let this "sleeping dog" lie (would you say...literally or figuratively?) - must just be TOO BUSY suing people to check his messages, huh?
- another example of why lawyers are so detestable to so many....sigh

Leo G, you are welcome. At least something good came out of this lousy episode. Haven't noticed the person in question slipping back in so it must be working.

WOW, that's about the worst ebay profile I've seen, no wonder he got banned there too.

There is a Jeffrey J Mcclain(same name, same address) that bid on a Buck knife I had on Ebay more than a week ago and has refused or hasn't bothered to contact me about it. I have sent several emails to him during the past 10 days but no response.

He has done the same to several others on Ebay. His User ID on Ebay is: camelclassic. Take a look for yourself.

I'm thinking about making a phone call to him now. I've gotten his number from Ebay.

What do you think?
