Beware of purchasing knives form A.G. Russell (I don't know what I'm talking about)

Well, I am guilty of checking out his trout guiding web site...still shaking my head over one of the "articles". Shaking head side to side..not up & down.
 
When I first saw the post header I thought "A. G. Russell? You Kiddin' me?" Then I read the first posting and almost laughed aloud. Apparently even after his alleged frequent dealing with AGR he's not familiar with his satisfaction guarantee? Another Internet collation 'expert reviewer' sailing the digital seas hits the rocks off the coast of ... reality. This reads to me like desperate troll/self promotion activity on the OP's part. My guess is that he'd probably never post negative comments on his own site (there might not be enough room now). While I'm all for helping others make informed choices, I sometimes become concerned that a subset of society has become too dependant on the Internet Expert Army in many aspects of their lives' decision making processeses. Sometimes it seems as if this alternate reality has become the norm. Anyway, I'm always careful at A.G.Russell's site or looking at his catelog: There's too much good stuff!
 
I have not been on that site in years. My dad and grandfather have bought many knives from you over the years. You have always had a great reputation A.G., just kinda sad to see so many Chinese knives. I'd like to see more made in the USA. Sign of the times I guess.
 
no he did not ! me and 2 brothers made the short ride today, wind 'bout blew us off hwy 321, 74 miles to Lenoir, actually Colletsville nc. He just needed to learn about knives first hand. nice fella, i hope he comes back. Well some know it, but for sure I am peeing blood now. swollen bad, and smiling like heck. first jump over 5 miles in 3 yrs. think that's it. By the way my source Charlie Mike is soild, great products, i suggest investing in his ventures.

Looks to be another 1 post wonder. Comes into the forums, strong, dedicated, and full of charisma. Gets called out and vanishes like a belch in the breeze. I'm going to buy something from the A.G. Russell shop this week.

I think all of us who posted should buy a knife from AG Russell. This is my pledgee that the next knife I buy will be from him!!!

Dr. Trout seems to waddle like a duck. This Trout needs to swim with the sharks for his comment about ATS 34, 154CM and 440C being top of the line steels. He must have written these articles in 1972!!!

fellows, I want to thank you for your support, I have to tell you that I have never laughed so hard when I found that Goldie was right. When we learned of this thread at about 6 pm Sat night Goldie said that the email he was upset because it was not answered had to have been sent after closing on Fri or on Sat itself, indeed, it was sent an hour and a half AFTER closing on Sat, just 30 minutes before he went to Blade Forums to destroy a business that he had done business with happily since 2005.

If you send an email to my personal email address you may get an answer the same day, send it to my business and I may get it within a day or the next and will probably answer it the day I get it, BUT, I usually go home about 2:30 so it might be the next day.

Oh, yes it is an hour since I send an email asking for a copy of the email from him we have not been able to find and we have no answer, how can that be?
 
The only destruction that the poorly thought out and mediocrely written OP is capable of is self destruction. Some people fancy themselves as very intelligent and think others are far below them. Insulting the intelligence of the community at large here is not the best way to win friends and influence people. This seems to be the case with the author of the original post. If anything, it served as an advertisement for your store Mr. Russell. As I stated earlier, I will be placing an order in the next couple of days, if anything this thread reminded me that I saw something of interest in one of the catalogs I received in the mail a week or so ago.
 
Lol, Mr. Russell this thread made me laugh too. If anything this individual only helped you sell even more knives.:)
