Yeah I saw the one from a legit seller tempting deal. I don't have a Millie currently, think I'll be holding off for the Cruwear as my next though.

I do not do flea-bay. I do not do amazon. When I buy, I buy only from reputable dealers. I am not the least bit concerned that any of my knives are fakes. I've paid what are typical prices for all of my knives, not gotten one "deal" as of yet.

A guy at work came in one day about a month ago with a nice all black "Spyderco", cannot recall the model now. He told me he bought it off the bay, for a ridiculously low price. Really smooth G-10, liners and frame black, phillips head screws holding the clip on. I told him with no hesitation "if you bought that "Spyderco" off the bay for that price, it's a fake". He did some research on his own, and concluded it is indeed a fake. But he is happy with it none-the-less. Whatever!
 
XiuXiu made another vid on that fake millie where he goes into detail and it looks like it has steel or teflon washers instead of the PB ones the real Millies have. Just another thing to look for.

Scary as I'm about to buy a Paramilitary 2, if I can find one, or a return of one turns out to be legit. The worst part is that discussing the parts that are noticeable they will end up fixing.

That right there should have set off all kinds of alarms and red flags:confused:

A BNIB Military, even the standard version should be somewhere around $120 at the very lowest.

I'm not sure about this but I've read the Milies are noticeably lighter than the fake ones.

Another way to avoid the fakes is to buy a DigiCam Millie or Para2..I've as yet to see one made.

Para2 now also got fake came out.
I found flat ground is not real flat.
And liner lock not bead blast.
Also have 2 steel liner not as one side liner as the real one.
G10 scale too smooth as some made in China model.
Spyderco get a big problem from China copy cat now.
I might stop to buy spyderco knife for a while.
Until they can solved this fake problem.
Or downgrade to buy made in China model instead.
Bye bye made in U.S.A.?
They have to doing some serious thing with this fake models.
Or they will service their warranty for fake one that they not make money from sale?

e-Bay is thick with fake Spydies and Striders... I thought it was their policy to pull fakes or counterfeit goods if they are reported?

1. Spyderso does not nhave the power to stop Chinese fakes. Time-Warner can't stop fakes. Apple can't stop fakes.
2. "back to U.S.A." What does this have to do with fakes?

eBay cares about one thing - $$$ in its pocket. It will never be eager to enforce the law.

Wal-Mart does not sell high end knives around here just cheap China Knives.

I have reported fakes and other such crap to Ebay many times. Never got a response and never saw one item removed. It is true Ebay puts on a big show but they would have to be served with legal papers to get action from them on this stuff.

The way to stop some of the Chinese fakes flooding into this country is to end our addiction to the tidal wave of cheap chines product and to impose high tariffs on imports like most every other country does because they are not a bunch of morons like Americans. Demand of your politicians to start putting the US back on the economic map competitvely and give them a more level playing field. How many of your glorious poiticians that you have elected because you think they support your pet agendas are actually selling you out behind closed doors? wake up its basic economics and we are being SOLD OUT
 
Louis Vuitton has a division that looks for fakes on Ebay and when found, Ebay pulls it down ASAP. Thing is Spyderco does not have the resources to do this...
 
I have no idea if the video is showing a real one or not but what strikes me as odd is if this is a fake. Because if it is a fake, why the fook are bothering? clearly they can make knives that are high quality, so good infact they are almost indentical to the real deal that costs alot of money!

I'll happily buy a knife if it's well made and affordable, I couldn't give two shits if it's made in chinatown or not! If that fake is as 'good' as the actual spyderco and only costs 25% I'd say if they'd put their skills to making their own designs instead of ripping off everyone elses they'd rake in the cash!

Lol, might get on the phone to them and see if they take custom commissions!

I stopped buying China knives after 2005. I collect USA mostly.:D I collect a few Japan and Euro knives also.:thumbup: That being said every Knife Company who went to China for "any production" I do not feel sorry for fakes with their name on them. They got in bed with the devil and they can feel the pain.;)
 
So, Afghan, where does that leave the clones of Chris Reeve's products? He never went to China for production? :(
 
A friend of mine ordered a Sebenza 25 off ebay and he wouldn't have known it was a fake, but the box and dated card was not nearly as well faked as the knife. Here it is before he sent it back for a refund. eBay doesn't seem to realize people are going to stop dealing with them for knives and will pay a little more to dealers, that deal directly with the knife companies.
