Hey guys. I just got back home last night. I have been out on welding jobs. I was upset, to find that the knives were still at home. I had expected them to have been dropped off last monday. I don't know what to say to you, I should have taken them all with instead, and tried for a long lunch break to ship them out.
It is ten til 9 right now, I wil be heading to town in about half an hour. I will make sure everything goes well this time.
Again, I don't know what to say, I am sorry, I am frustrated, I will do what I can.
When I get back, or perhaps this evening, I will respond to everyone who has sent me an e-mail.
Ken
Ironwolf thanks for the heads up. Don't bother trying to ship today it is a federal holiday.
What holiday is that? Isn't next Monday the Veteran's Day holiday, the Monday following Nov 11?Ironwolf thanks for the heads up. Don't bother trying to ship today it is a federal holiday.
Not a Federal Holiday. . .
It's not even a Federal election. Heck, even Federal elections aren't holidays. What are those guys smoking?
According to the people being voted for it is.![]()
I recieved my knife today. Thanks Ken, but I was disapointed to see the knife was not a single bevel scandi grind. My knife came with a secondary bevel.
I'll send him an email Guys. I'm sure we can work something out.
I got 1 of my 2 knives today, hopefully the other will come tomorrow.
Edit to add
I recieved the Scandi blade today. It has a very distinct secondary bevel on it. I will not be sending it back though. These are customs and this is Ironwolfs interpetation of a Scandi grind. The fit and finish on the knife are fairly good. The handle work is excellent, the tip on mine is slightly discolored, probably from the heat of grinding and dosn't apear as if it will affect the knifes use at all. The knive does seem to have the look as if they were rushed though. I like the stamp and also the fact that he numbered the knives, mine is 15 of 32 if I remember correctly.
The sheath is good and is also stamped, that was a nice touch. I have a question about sheath maint if someone can answer it for me.
The leather facing inside the sheath is very rough and after only drawing the knife a few times, I can see where this will cause major wear on the handle in short order. Is there any way of smoothing it down without loosing the handle retention of the sheath?
