BF W&S knife Ironwolf list

I was pleasantly surprised to find my knife waiting for me when I got home from work! Size is perfect, handle shape is very nice, fits me like a glove. Nice square spine will easily throw a spark. Hopefully I'll get to play with it more this weekend :D Here's some quick pics:

It's flat ground with a good secondary bevel and a very nice maple handle. After holding it a while I've decided I really like the feel. I'm thinking clean off the blade and go for an apple cider vinegar patina -- maybe lemon juice -- something to age the blade. Definitely a user :thumbup:
 
Is there any way to find out if Ken is set with my last paypal payment? I've emailed him over the span a couple of times but no reply.
 
Just received my knives tonight as well. I'm with Myakka and Hollowdweller. Secondary bevel on both of mine as well. Was something lost in translation? The initial Scandi modeled was zero ground. What happened? The handles feel nice as does the overall balance. But, Micky is right, it looks rather rushed as my knife blade isnt very "cleaned up." My firesteel loops don't quite function either as they are the diameter of a drinking straw. I know they are users, but considering they are customs, I think a little smoothing out in some areas woulda been nice.
 
Recieved my 2 knives from Ken yesterday and am working on a few modifications.
The scandi grip is very comfortable in my hand and left alone. The blade looks like a saber grind to me and is to high to make a good scandi. I am trying to slowly change the blade to a convex grind with a slack sanding belt (work in progress).
The drop point has a great blade grind just needs a bit of sharpening. The grip was not working in my hand so I took it to the grinder and smoothed out some of the ridges, rounded a few corners and polished it up a bit with buffing wheel and jewlers rouge.

These are good knives.:thumbup: Nice tapered tangs; good steel. A little touching up here and there is all they need.

P.S. The Scandi fits my hand like a glove!
 
At first I considered the forward FG on the knife as a little radical, but as I held it my index finger and thumb got very comfortable in the forward FG and it gave a good purchase. The other three fingers can spread out on the rest of the handle for good control. Different size hands, different grips, no one size fits all. . .

They're looking good! Just heard from my US contact that she received mine, so it's now travelling over the ocean! Regardless of fit & finish, with the current USD/EUR rate, this has to be the bargain of the century. EUR 100 for a custom made knife. :) ( A factory Spyderco Delica is EUR 95 in Holland )
 
Evening fellas, I just got in about 3 hours ago. I have made time this week, I will be around probably twice a day to answer any questions. I won't have to head back on the road until friday night, or saturday morning.

Myakka, as for the secondary bevel, I left a little more on in general, as I thought that many of these blades were going to see some pretty rough use. I put the second bevel on to help give then a little more resistance.

On the other hand. I have always been willing to to any repair work or resharpening for free( this may fit in as resharpening). I know you are a ways from me so it isn't just dropping it off, shoot me an e-mail, and I will try to work something out.
 
Mickey, I thought they were shipped in the same box. you mentioned the scandi showed up? let me look around my shop, and call the shipper(check what the package weight was), it may have gotten dropped, or there could be someone else with an extra knife.

Thanks for checking in. I haven't got mine yet but since they are not scandi grind as advertised as soon as mine arrive I'll be sending mine back to you.

If you can make them an actual scandi grind fine, if it is too much trouble just refund my paypal account.:thumbup:

I just got mine and have to say that I'm really disappointed at the quality of how mine was made, it looks really rushed-thru without any regards for the final product (and the impression it will make on the Customer).

Before I post any photos of it, I'll contact Ken via email to see if he will re-do my knife.
 
Are all of the knives pinned with the large pins rather than the small pins seen in the original pictures?? The holes were bored for small pins but all pics are big bolts.

Am starting to get concerned about all of the changes seen so far. Especially with 4 knives on the way.

From those of you that have it in hand- how does it cut- after all that is the most important thing
