I love it. Pure dedicated chopper.
Too heavy to cary? Don't know, have not seen a weight. But probably less than my KZII combined with the hand full of other knives and axes I've lugged.
Less than my FBMLE, Ash CG, SS and gw I've carried all at once.
Boss Hogg did not declare this as a high speed, low drag, jump out of an airplane, climb over the Himalayas, and kick evil in the teeth knife.
No one expects to carry this on a trek across the Appalachian trail, or the North West Passage.
But I bet it weighs less than my battle axe, poll axe, or sword, so I can happily leave those at home. They don't fit in my pack very well!
This design has me checking my PayPal balance, and itching to chop. It will probably kick my other dedicated chopper out (KZII).
I don't think the design is ugly, in fact, I was pumped to see a tall long blade. Especially a with an edge that appears to drop lower than the guard and handle.
It's like having a Chuckette, and whining that it is too heavy.
If you don't like it, that's fine. Just don't buy one. I promise it will be gone from the site fast. We used to wait forever between available knives. Now the Boss is pumping them out faster than I can believe, and people still find reason to Whine. "Too big, too small, my pants are wet and smell of urine!"
I've looked at many designs and thought "I'd never have a use for that...." or that handle looks wrong, or some thing about a design strikes me as off. But everything about this knife makes me happy.
Distal taper, and hand shaped handles (which I can do my self). Oh, and a full hand guard, and a pirate flag logo, and a double shotgun built in, so when I board another ship I can blast sailors! (Ok, I guess I don't really need any of that, except the hand shaped handle which I may do).
It reminds me of trying to cook for picky children.
Busse and crew, keep up the good work!
