I'm going to post pics of a 100% genuine big fat phoney! This is what the brand new 0562 clones are looking like! I most certainly do not support the Chinese knockoff market in fact it really makes me incredibly pissed off!!

Um, yes you do. 3 times in fact. This last one was not out of ignorance, you supported the counterfeiting knife industry on purpose. SMH, some people....

I posted this to help people be aware of the fakes that are out there not to be confrontational! The "Last" one was actually the first one if you read the whole thing. At the rime of that purchase ibwss unaware of the clone racket and didn't know they were actually using the names, logo etc. on there products. It was only after I won the auction for the 0566 that I realized what the Chinese were doing! Now I'm trying to use my mistake to help others to not make the same! The whole "SMH, SOME PEOPLE" part of my post was meant to be goofy not serious by the way.
Please don't support counterfeiters in any way. This just funds them to keep doing what they're doing and ripping people and the businesses we love off!

I'll never understand why people don't understand that buying something in part is like making a declaration, a pledge, of support.

"So in all my excitement I come across a seller saying straight forward they were selling made in China likenesses of the ZT0562. At the time I thought cool for 30 bucks I can get a cheap Chinese sense of what the real 0562 would feel like and if I like it I'll save for that next.

Now at this point the 0562 clone I DID order has still not arrived. Like I said I DO NOT SUPPORT CLONES IN ANYWAY!"

This is a bit of a contradiction. You knowingly and willingly bought a clone. I don't think the seller cares about your reasons for buying as long as he gets paid.

Shortly after making this thread I decided against buying a clone. I really only wanted one to put the g10 scale on my cf before discovering the whole world of custom scales on this forum.

That 562 clone is pretty bad btw. They didn't even bother to stonewash the lockbar side.

You knowingly bought a clone. You supported counterfeiting. End of story.

You made an excellent choice! Thank you!

Yes I did. I'm not arguing that point. But it was done without the knowledge of what buying that knife was supporting! After gaining the knowledge and the experiences I've had I wouldn't and will not ever buy, support or endorse the making, buying or selling of clones. My post was to help educate new knife enthusiasts against doing so. You made YOUR point Cray it's been noted congrats you called me out! But somehow genius you managed to miss my point entirely! Like I've been trying to say is yes I knowingly bought a clone before I understood what it was exactly supporting. In retrospect after my experiences and the gaining of an understanding of what my money was going to I never would have bought that knife. My saying I don't support counterfeiters and the whole clone industry is an absolute fact based on what I've learned through all this! Is that fact really do hard to understand? I'm trying to use my experience to help others to not go through the same. And to choose against buying clones knowingly!! CAN I BE ANYMORE CLEAR PEOPLE

It's cool, Artifakt. You have to learn the damage of clones sometime and I'm glad you're sharing your experience with us. Just remember that the feelings against clones run very strong among many enthusiasts and it's not an easy topic to discuss. Some of us feel that even discussing them serves as "free advertising" of a sort. Welcome to Blade Forums and enjoy the addiction to well made, legit blades that we all share here. :)

Thank you hackenslash I do now completely understand why its such a touchy subject. I am now among the enthusiasts with very strong feeling against! Thank you for seeing the point of my post. After buying a knife I had been wanting so badly to then find out its a fake is enough to make a hater out of anyone it sure has made one out of me!!

Fair enough but you can't say what you did was not supporting counterfeiting. Glad to hear you won't in the future. Also, if you want to discourage counterfeiting you might want to take down all the huge photos of your counterfeit. That is free advertising for counterfeiters.

I never said I didn't support them that 1 time. I admit I did but I didn't know what it was I was supporting at the time. I now know and what they do infuriates me!
I will go take the photos down now. Sorry if my post upset you. It was meant for the greater good of the knives we love!

Taking the pics down would be great

9830 is on its way back to Amazon and I have some money burning a hole in my pocket. Should I see if I can get one in S35vn? OR take a chance on a Spyderco Domino...OR, wildcard..the Spyderco Rubicon 2?

I've had my eye on both of these spydies for awhile but decided to get the 0562 first. They both seem to be a good middle ground between my two favorites, the 0562 and the Dragonfly 2.
