Whoa...! I think we have a winner. :D

I have absolutely no use for a folder with a 9" blade but I sure want one anyway. Looks amazing!

Thanks for sharing.

That is inappropriate and you should be banned.

Just kidding. I laughed out loud.

Thats just damned funny!!!! Hair, that was bound to happen!! BTW where are your up dated pics?

My new knives should be here Friday. I am waiting for an Emerson Super CQC7 and a Benchmade 710. I am also waiting for a Buck Mayo TNT, but it isn't exactly large.

I do have my Rukus and Military, but I thought I'd wait to borrow a digital camera until I have the Emerson and 710 here too.

Oh... and an SMF. Because of my tax return I am going to be a bit ahead of shedule on my knife-buying plan. I should have the tax return by Friday at the lastest, so on Saturday I am going to drive up to Plaza Cutlery (about an hour away) and get an SMF.

So I should have new pics Saturday or Sunday with the whole family.

After that I will either keep getting big folders and get a Kershaw Blue Bump and Lone Wolf Harsey Tactical Folder, or expand on my dress folder collection and get a Mnandi and then a WH Titan.

BTW, I think any future knife porn pics should feature the 9-inch Maxx... um... on top.

I found this image when I was googling the other day. It isn't mine, but I plan on doing something similar to my Sere.

Which part of the 37 inch switchblade didn't you see from the link in my post above, on page 5? ;)

Sorry. Garth is the winner of the big folder porn, hands down.

korbiaka- I got the TNT in the mail today. Love it. it is very light, looks great, and boy is it smooth. I ordered a D2710 from Knife Outlet but they ended up calling me to tell me they were out of stock. So i ordered a 154CM version from NGK instead. I know I could find a D2 version elsewhere if i tried, but I don't really care eitehr way as i already have a d2 AFCK and don't have any knives in 154CM yet.

Jack- That is VERY cool! Where'd you find it?

Thought I'd mention that I got the Chupacabra, and after rigging up the sheath with a leather scrap so that it'll take a Tek-Lok I've been carrying it and the weight (14 oz) has just about disappeared. The knife is a pleasure to own, and I REALLY like it. I'm hoping to get it a good sharpening- its sharp, but could be sharper. It'll make a good utility knife, but wouldn't do as well at slicing as my 172 w/o making the edge a lot slimmer. I think that would hurt the heavy duty cutting ability though. As I carry a 172 also its not a big deal.

Congrats. I got my Super CQC7 today and am very happy with it, but it sort of pales in comparison to a custom beast like the Chupacabra.

Edit: I got my 710 today as well. I guess UPS made two trips. The 710 is also very nice, but I knew it would be as I have played with one before.

Finally the three knives I ordered two weeks ago have arrived.

Hair- I found it on some guys website. I emailed him to see how he did it; I wasnt sure if he just took off the handles, put some tape where the circles are and spraypainted it or if he made new handles. Heres the link:

http://www.pirtleranch.com/customized.htm

I'll post his response when he emails me back. I'd really like to know how the paint, if it is paint, holds up on the G10.

Thanks. I'd be very interesting in his reply.

My tax return and paycheck both hit my account tonight, so I will definitly get the SMF on Saturday... actually I am considering skipping work tomorrow to go get it, but that might make me feel too much like an addict (which I am).

I got my SMF today from Plaza Cutlery. First I just want to say how great Plaza Cutlery is. It was my first time there, and it was well worth the drive. I will be going back each paycheck. Dan was very nice, and the selection is great.

Anyways, the SMF is really cool. It is actually a little smaller than I expected, and a lot lighter. It fits my hand very well. I will say more once I get a chance to carry and use it a bit, but I can tell that I will be carrying this knife a lot. It fits my wants and needs very well.

I need a borrow a digital camera to take pics, but I can arrange that later today.

Congrats! Good choice too. I went with the smaller SNG as I thought it would be more conducive to edc. While I really like the SNG I wish I had went with the SMF sometimes. :foot:

Looking forward to some pics soon. You might want to think about getting a decent digital camera yourself. Knife photography is a lot of fun. With just a little work you can biuld a lightbox and be addicted to yet another hobby. ;)

Thank you.

I got the green G-10 version, BTW.

I do want to ge a digital cam. I want to start a knife information webpage with reviews and stuff, and a good digital camera is needed for such a goal. There are already tons of great knife webpages out there, but whenever I get a new hobby I always turn it into either a webpage or a guide of some sort. If I can eventually get a page together with EDC-minded reviews for common/attainable knives and good pictures, I think that would be pretty useful and even fairly unique.

The SNG is great, I just prefer slightly larger knives. I think the SNG would be better for most people for EDC. But I always wear jeans and a belt to work so large folders are fine. When I am making a quick trip to the store I usually just throw on some shorts, and it is then that I would prefer the SNG to the SMF.

I've got to go to work soon, so I might not get the pics done today, but I only work for a few hours on Sunday and I will get them done then for sure.

I am also pre-writing an Emerson Super CQC-7 review in my head. When I get the cam I will take all of the pics for that review and then write it during the week. Believe me when I tell you that the review will be fairly entertaining :D

*looks down at nasty cut on finger*

*no, it's not from a lock failure*

Congrats on that TNT "Hair". I also have the TNT and, purchased it from IRA Woods. It is a near perfect pocket knife in my opinion. I have read previous reports of questionable quality control but, my sample is virtually perfect - dead center blade, perfect lock-up, and butter smooth operation. I really like it. If it had been drilled for a multi-mount clip then it would truly be knocking on the door of perfection. No matter, I am going to have our shop drill the holes in mine so that I can change to a tip-up right pocket carry.

And Jack, that carbon fiber Police on that "Pirtleranch" website rocks. I would love to have one.
