Bikers post here.

Biker Bash 2014 is being held august 30, 31, and Sept 1 here in granbury, tx. About 30 miles SW of Fort worth. Expecting a few thousand bikes in total to come in.

Sounds like a good time! Me and my wife just went to ROT rally over in Austin not too long ago. We go to lone star rally every year. We've never been to the one you're talking about. I'm gonna look into it!

And i don't know why, but I just keep looking at the Yamaha FZ-09. :D Just seems like a bargain for the $8000 price tag.

My filthy hog today:

Picked up lots of road grime and spots in that "monsoon" last week. I'm gonna wash it this coming weekend and change the oil/oil filter/air filter.

Here's my 3 cylinder adrenaline machine.
09 Speed Triple.
I ride as often as possible; commuting to work, weekend blasts on twisty county roads; the occasional 300 mile day, this thing does it all.
I've owned pretty much every brand and type of bike there is.
This Triumph is hands down my favorite.

I Love bikes, all kinds. I ride a 1984 Yamaha Maxim 750, it's my first bike had it 3 years love bootin around on it. Haven't been able to ride as much as I like this year due to my baby boy, not sure what I'll get next but none the less FTW.

Yes indeed - FTW!

Forever Two Wheels, For The Win, or F*ck The World. Take yer pick!

Got another story:

My wife's friend works in the parts department of the local HD dealership. She has been wanting her own bike for a long time..... I don't know how, but she fell ass backwards into a great deal. She got a 99 sportster with a kuryakyn supercharger and Bassani pro street pipes, custom paint on the tins, for ONE grand! I knew the custom parts just from the pic she sent my wife.

I was thinking the price she paid was BS, but she rode her new bike to my daughters birthday party tonight, and it was legit! She even had the receipt to prove it! I rode it and it's a quick little f*cker!

I told her "I better go back in the house before I make you a cash offer on this little scooter"! I dug it a lot!

Finally got a pic of Mandy on her new scooter. I think she looks pretty happy with it!

Hey Everyone!

Been riding since early 2009. Always been on a sport bike. Started on a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250R, then upgraded to a 2006 Kawasaki ZX-6R 636. I rode that for the better part of 4 years, sold it and purchased a 2009 ZX-6R last August. But, as riding time dwindled, I ended up selling it later that October and have been bike-less since the end of 2013:grumpy: I'm hoping a reassessment come this winter will be good and land me a new ride for next spring! I plan on sticking to the sport bikes and have been eyeballing some Ducati's recently . I mostly ride for transportation, but always enjoy taking the bike out for no reason but to ride around town. Ride safe everyone and keep the rubber side down.

Welcome aboard the biker thread! Ducatis are beasts! I have ridden a Monster, and the power and agility were incredible!

I'm gonna get a few pics of a buddy's custom chopper tomorrow if I can and post em up. Keep those stories and pics coming guys! I'm having a ball reading them and looking at the great pictures!

Here's my current ride,
100_0279.jpg

It started out as an 84 FXST. It is now a semi DIY kit bike.

swapped out the 21" front for 5.10X16
Replaced the 80" power Plant with a S & S 107" Super Sidewinder SA Long Block which dynos out to about 118 Hp.

The stock 3 finger Clutch Hub could'nt hold the torque, So I'm now running a Rivera Engineering Pro Stock Diaphram set -up

I pulled the kick starter to make room for the Thunder-headers, & added a S& S Super G with a 2 1/8 th intake so the engine could breathe better.

About 2 years ago I was unemployed for a long time and hit rock bottom with my luck, my girlfriend of 2 yrs left me and money was tight
That I had to sell my jeep to get out from the payments. I rode my sportster right through the Wisconsin winter to job interviews grocery store any place I had to go. Every night I would wash the bike down to get the salt off it and if it snowed I would wait until the snow was plowed and off the road. I was lucky because it was a mild winter. Then in march I found a great IT job and then inJuly I won a new 2013 Harley softail. I lost a grilfriend but gained a great job and a new bike! I still have the job and bike!

Glad you're back on your feet now. I have a friend who lives up in the Kansas City area who rides a motorcycle year around. She's sent me pictures showing her gas cap frozen over in the winter. She takes a lighter, heats up her key, and then that will break through so she can actually get gas.

Sorry about the girl, but that's great you got a new bike! You WON it? That's just amazing! Glad you got a new job too and things are looking up for you man.

I ride a suzuki savage 650. It's my 1st bike and it gets ridden a lot! Got it w/ 11,000 miles on it. I've had it almost 5 months now and it's almost to 16,000. Looking to upgrade asap to a bigger, more powerful bike. Here's a shot of my 'ol ragged out baby.....

Ah, the big single thumper! Nice! I dig the single piston setup on those... With short pipes they can be loud as hell!
