You can tell Joe uses his knives.
Rocks don't scare him.
Nice shot :)

PhilL has a tutorial on basic knife photography stickied (IIRC) in the Gallery subforum.
It may help PTS :)

Thanks Ebbtide. Phil is the one that gave me some pointers and they are and where much apreciated

Post the bad pics dude......You aren't trying to sell the thing and I have found that posting lousy pics will guarantee that nobody will pressure you to sell it:D

PTS, send it to me.
I'll take some super pictures of that Bagwell for you.
It may take me a decade or so to get them right...'
but you will be pleased :D ;) :D

wow! you and Joe have two of the most beautiful knives i have ever seen:thumbup:

i'm pretty happy with the blackwood coffin handle on mine but for looks stag is the way to go imho.

Pootsy,
I hope you don't mind me sticking your pics up like this.
You have to be the luckiest guy I've heard about today:thumbup:, that Satan's Lace damascus is amazing stuff.

Course not, I've my other digi camera on the charge and I'll have a wee experiment with it to see what I can get.

I was talking to Bill the day it arrived here and he was saying that it's a pretty ambidextrous knife but it does favour a right hander. It does :D. it just feels perfect to me and boy this thing is sharp. It slices through newspaper like anything and just feels so perfect. You wouldn't think you've got an 11.5 inch blade it your hand. I'll try and get some comparison shots so you can see just how big it actually is :)

Pootsy congrats on a fantastic knife it looks like a brother to mine. I am off to work again but when I get home I will post some pics of mine so we can have a comparison shot .. Enjoy you have one of the finest fighting bowies ever made.

Yea Bill mentioned yours when I was on the phone. Mine's just a bit bigger :P. How do you store yours Joe? I was looking at mine the day and the sheath sort of polishes it where the frog is, so there's like a lighted bit there. You keep yours in or out of the sheath?

are you planning on using that Pootsy? i do use my carbon HB but when i get my damascus version next july it will be more for lookin' purposes.

at least that is what i tell myself:o;)

TBH, I want to lol. But I don't wanna if ya get me. It's more cos it was a right bit of money and I think the finish would be quite hard to keep up with it bein etched. Then it's really a fighting knife anf not many bears round Northern Ireland :P Dunno now. Tempted like. :) But then I wouldn't want to sharpen it cos I'd be really afraid to scratch up the blade badly. I can sharpen pretty damn well but sod's law would prevail :P
I'd say no tbh. It's too precious.

Beautiful knife. I really like his cable damascus. Congrats.
I would never store a knife in the sheath. The excess tanis in the leather can
corrode the blade.

The dogbone a got from Mr. Bagwell was one he had made it for himself and decided to sell it. I really lucked out. It's a monster with an 11 1/2 blade and sharpened clip.
