Photos Bird and Trout! Let's See 'Em!

My current B&T's in my collection. Top - Down,
Moki, Cold Steel, CRKT, Marbles, and Boker Magnum.

And I just ordered what will be another beautiful addition. A Sonoran Belt Knife from Dave Ferry at Horsewright.
Met Dave and his wife through BF and had a great time talking knives, leather, & horses today at his place.
Wish I had the $ to order several!
Thanks for the great time today Dave!

My Cold Steel Bird & Game is a bit bigger than Dan of Bazz Clazz Dan of Bazz Clazz 's B&T (which is of a size maybe more appropriate for this thread), but I use mine for rabbits, too, so . . .

The blade is 2.99" in length. (Corrected 11/7/2017 - 3 1/2" blade)

And another photo, because thats is what the title of the thread told me to do !
Two L.T. Wright knives from their custom shop ( Pout House). B & T on the top and Great Plainsman on the bottom. Both in Stag (looks like Elk to me).
I bought them in two different places, and re-joined the long lost brothers.

Those knives are like my dream team for EDC/little fixed for woods knives.

I have that one too. Cold Steel calls it their Bird and Game knife. I was dubious about them until I held one and saw the benefits for cleaning little critters.

`This CRKT Hunt'N Fisch (a tribute to its designer, the late Larry Fischer) fits well in my hand at 7 1/4" OAL and 2.99" blade.

I've been eyeing that one recently after discovering the decent looking stock sheath. How does the spine file work feel when in use? I assume that's for scaling?

Feel free to PM me if you are interested in telling me about it. I don't want to create a big side conversation here and distract from pictures and comments of picture. I have been enjoying seeing some of the outdoors fixed blades from CRKT recently.

No problem. The grooves feel like any other jimping on the blade spine - a little grippy. I don't think they improve the utility of the spine as a scaler (nor intended for that), but do improve blade control and safety, particularly with the slime of field dressing fish/game, The deeper grooves aid grip on the outside top of the spine, allowing you to pinch the spine with assurance for fine work.
