Photos Bird and Trout! Let's See 'Em!

I just picked up a folding back-up B&T knife. I have used trappers for rabbits and squirrels and field dressed a deer with a Buck 110 (out of necessity), but cleaning fish/fowl innards out of a folders innards is a pain. This CRKT model 7530 Crossbones may fix that. The 3.5" trailing point blade is wicked sharp and the knife (stainless blade, aluminum handle) should be easy to maintain. The beauty is the open design for flushing the knife out. I realize that it is a flippin' folder with locking liner, so may not be precisely in the contour of this thread, but it a back-up. I'll be back to posting fixed blade B&Ts as soon as I take some more photos.

Here is my latest B&T .
Olsen knife Co made knives in Michigan from 1800 through around 1980. The knives made from the 70s were contracted out to someone in Germany. This small beauty, has wonderful rosewood handles, and filework on top of the blade. Interesting upward curve on the blade. My collection is growing.

That is SWEET hamsco hamsco ‼️

My Grohmann #2 along with a new Trapper and some food prep. That Grohmann has dressed scores of squirrels, a pile of panfish, even forgot my hatchet at the door this summer and had to use the knife to batton wood for kindling at the cottage. In the morning it was doing food prep cutting mushrooms for my breakfast omelette. Good all around knife.

One of the other co-founders, Bruce, of our tiny knife forum in UK recently underwent major surgery for a tumour removal. To help him cheer up and get better, one of the guys on Edge Matters, Rich @Skirmish organised a collection to buy a much cherished B&T Bruce had seen at Paul Mason @Mason Knives house when we went on a recent visit.

Bruce is now back at home and recovering from his ordeal, and now with this superb piece of kit.....and stunning sheath from Paul's wife, Jan

A very nice gesture. And a wonderful knife.

I have a couple of these from my grandfather. E.A. Sharpwell Co. from Solingen,Germany. 3"blade and 5.75" OAL.
Next to my peanut for scale. A little razor.
I don't love the original sheath... maybe one of those crossdraw sheaths Horsewright makes would be perfect!

Dan, I look forward to the pictures of your knife ( when it's finished). I love my Tapadero.

Dave's knife finally arrived a couple of days ago. I LOVE it! Great workmanship. I doubt very much that this will be my last Horsewright knife. Sorry my photo isn't quite to the quality level yours is. It really doesn't do the knife true justice. Trying to do too many things on the weekend.
Horsewright's Sonoran Belt Knife. AEB-L Steel, Desert Ironwood.

That Sonoran looks fantastic! I love the mosaic pins and brass bolsters that Dave makes/uses. What thickness is that AEB-L?

I don't know. Dave doesn't list that spec and I can't find my calipers to measure for myself. Hopefully Dave will stroll on by and answer that question for both of us.
