BK-2 Pancake Sheath - Winner announced, Thank god

Also looks like there's an additional layer of leather to protect/reinforce the tip area. That would cause that stitch pattern. Either way, they both look awesome, as usual.

Convex rather than concave to keep the firesteel from sinking down in the sheath too far.

It creates suction, for better blade retention. WTF do I know, lol.

Is it so u can turn the Knife the other way? as in edge up instead of down?? for more versatility in carry methods??

Curvature of the spine of the BK2 required that gusset shape. I'm grasping at straws.

Nothing I can really say on this without giving it away other than it is convexed for a reason, nothing to do with the firesteel only the knife.

Jeez this is exciting who's gonna nail it?

I'm guessing that it is like that so it can be worn IWB, and that it will better follow the contours of your waist.

And no, it doesn't have handles, but I'll live with the loose fit if I have to for a while.

Keeping the convexed stitch out of the welt allows the sheath to bend more.

that could be it. makes sense anyways, if the welt was stitched thru the lil ''ears'' where the belt loop is wouldnt flex right to fit to the hip. the other belt loop ear on opposite side is stitched without the welt too

I was thinking anyway.... Idk I have to walk away for a little while this has been driving me crazy for 4 hours now?!?!
