Sorry Fudo. That was partly in jest, sorta... but mostly due to a wicked headache that I had at the time. Sorry about that. Probably because I hadn't had ENOUGH caffeine at the time.

But seriously,... I would rather see it stay a hollow grind....

Joe,

I've been unavoidably absent for longer than I can believe and trust that I too can be placed in the queue for the 501 (Yeah I know... it's not a 532, but it still is a nifty little blade especially in the configuration you've discussed).

So Joe, when can we get our 501's?

I have been having a tough time getting some info needed to get this project rolling. In all fairness to Mike T.,I have not yet called him to discuss the details. I only used email and aparantely he gets a deluge of those every day.
I will have to figure out how to use that phone thing and give him a call.

Knife is good!

Joe, Just to give you a tip for future decisions like that (with the coin-flipping theory):

Heads = the 501; Tails = not the 500.

It'll make things a whole lot easier next time

Glad it's a 501. Personally, I usually tend to go for the bigger knife. But I do need a "Sunday-go-to-meetin'", 'gents' knife.

Take Care, and thanks for getting this done!

Champion,

Thanks for the helpful tip, makes perfect sense to me!
I feel a little guilty about your compliment about me getting it done cause i haven't yet!
At least it is moving in the right direction.

Take care,

Ooooh, this sounds really cool. Where can I sign up?

Seems like getting on these forums may get expensive.

Peace,
Al

501 sounds good.

I think I will be tempted, especially considering what I mention in the next paragraph.

I am missing my 532, what a nice knife. Cannot seem to find it.

Lets all have a moment of silence for Donald's 532.
With that said, how much are these new toys gonna' cost us?

I want in on one of these 501's. Where can I get one? JT

I've never felt better in ALL MY LIFE. Ask me tomorrow and I'll be even better than I was today.

JT, When(not if) Joe gets everything in order
for this Bladeforums knife, then you will be able to get it here through Bladeforums/1SKS

Jeff O,
Thanks for the sympathy!! It still has not turned up.

I second your question. Cost of the Buck BladeForum 501?

Donald

Sorry to hear that your 532 has disappeared on you, Donald. I have a 501 that I purchased new in '82 that became lost about six years ago. Around this time last year I was going through an old fishing tackle box and guess what was found? That old 501! Boy, was I happy to see it.

I really do hope you find your 532, as it sounds like it was a good friend to have along wherever you went like my 501 was.

I'll never lose it again, since I've retired that 501 and replaced it with a 701 stockman pattern Bronco. Another really nice Buck.

Of course it turned up within inches of where I had looked at least twice, but had slipped between some items.

Of course I am still interested in the Buck BladeForum 501. Look forward to hearing more about it, but I suspect it will be after the busy Christmas season.

Glad to hear you found your 532!
