Blade Forums Spring Street Barlow (BF Knife 2021)

So pretty! (despite the black cloud this year.)

With the bone named hemlock green and the knife being more red and black in color. Anyone else notice how we named it spring street while its a very autumn color knife. (And yes, i know its the name of the street and also bending metal is a spring). Shine a light on it and its very halloween (it is october after all).

Spring street with hemlock green. And its a deep reddish-orange knife in autumn. Gotta love it.

Got it, got to cut the USPS some slack, wasn’t supposed to get here till Tuesday. Only issue I could raise would be the proud pins but that’s it, every other aspect of fit and finish seems to be as perfect as handmade can be. Great job by the folks at GEC, Spark Spark for allowing it to happen, and Charlie waynorth waynorth . The result is better than I would have come up with on my own. I sincerely hope those that qualified and participated all get a knife. Thank you Bladeforums!

And then it shows delivered, and there is nothing in the box. Happened to me a few months ago. I called the post office and they contacted the driver and she still had it on her truck. She turned around came back and dropped it off. Advantage of living in a small community! 😊👍
Not that I think or hope that happens to you Paul, just reminded me of a funny story. 😊

Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. The driver realized she had dropped my knife off one block away, at a house with the same house number. She came back out, went to the other house, retrieved my knife, and dropped off with me.

Yup it is right there. I was wrong. I will send this to someone that wants it. Embarrassing!
Mistakes happen, really appreciate your attitude. To echo what a few others have said welcome to the porch, I’m new here too but I got waivered in to buy my first BF Knife, I’d hold onto it a bit and let the dust settle. Hope you decide to hang around.

Looks like trash, but then again I have never liked barlows.
You are welcome, I have been contributing to this forum since 2003.
Contributions can come in different forms - be them good or bad, constructive or simply Trolling.

If you had been a worthy contributor- you would respect the massive amount of work others here in the Traditional Forums have put into this so others can get a knife like this.

Do us a favour? and send photo's of your knives that you have worked so hard for - and we will let you know which ones look like trash and which ones we think are crap because our personal tastes may not be the same as yours.

Why not just keep trash comments that do no good to yourself - this is why at times we need a Jerk emoji.
You know I have a confession, I'm not particularly fond of the looks of eureka jacks. Many love them but they leave me cold. Just don't like the look of them. But in over 3,000 posts on the porch this is the first time I've ever said anything negative about a eureka jack. Must be a rather sad life just looking for things to trash talk, nobody's forced you to open a thread dedicated to barlows which you profess to dislike. To post a negative post in a thread about a pattern you claim to hate is rather childish. Frankly it comes off as a spoiled brat who didn't get a bauble like the other kids so has nothing left but to ridicule that which he actually covets. But as the old saying goes,"if you haven't anything nice to say, keep your damn mouth shut "
On Ya Hillbilly ;)

It’s actually just named “Hemlock,” not “Hemlock Green.” It had been explained before that the wording of green only came into the description in past knives because a bit of green dye had been added to the colors to achieve the brownish/red color. Also, hemlock trees have a bit of a green hue on the bark and are brownish/red on the inside. I see what you mean though and I’m glad they 86’d the green wording. See what I did there?🤓

Well played.
