I had a longer post expressing my agreement, but I also don't want to contribute to any of the disharmony poisoning the Forum Knife well. So I'll just say, yes to everything you said.

We have been fortunate enough to get some really special knives over the years. It would be a shame if we alienated everyone who could make the knives happen in the future.

My forum knife arrived a week ago today but I barely had time to look at it this week, let alone take some pictures.

I wish it hadn't been this whole debacle this year and I feel extremely lucky to have gotten this one, which judging from the way things are going will be the last GEC I will purchase.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who brought this knife to fruition, it really is something special.

My pair has now become a collection

No, it said you had to have 50 posts in Traditionals. You don't even have 50 posts for ALL of Blade Forums. You only have 29 thus far. You don't qualify for one.

I get it i didn't qualify. I didn't post because I wasn't a paid member. I get that. Just trying to find one man. Not making a big deal. Just hoping. I'm trying to figure out the site so I can be active now that I'm a paid member is what I'm saying. Sorry to misquote

Welcome, Jim? Or at least I think this is Jim. Come over to the 86 thread and share some your photos of your excellent collection. No need to hang in this thread it's gotten a little negative.

I might also add that on page 29 of this thread, post 567 after JohnDF JohnDF and I said we were passing our BF knives along you came on right after and said; "I'm really hoping I can find one." . ................Pitiful.

Yeah, well he also let me have the last Brazilian cherry 86 at the rendezvous when it was believed that it was the last one because he knew I missed the first day. So there is that. He is a good guy who just wants a knife, sorry if his poor timing offends you.
 
I haven't posted any "in the sun" pic's of my forum knife. It's quite dark and I like it, like @Misplaced Hillbilly David's it will lighten with time👍

No one said anything about him being a "bad dude". I would expect that he is not, until proven otherwise.

I got my shipping confirmation from GSJ! Thanks gunstockjack gunstockjack for making this happen.

As far as all the mudslinging, there have been flat out incorrect information given. Regarding the “they are open for anyone” comment, I posted the actual email. It said nothing of the sort. Until it is proven that something shady happened, people need to stop throwing rocks. I was one of those who got a code and a 99$ knife when it showed for 300$. Can you prove those went to general public at 300$? Have their been some slip through? Maybe so, but it always happens. I will say there have been fewer on the bay for this release than the last gec at this time. So, some things may have gone wrong, but some went right also. If wrong doing is suspected, let the mods and site owners deal with it without tossing incorrect information around. This ain’t Facebook, y’all.

Thank you everyone, GSJ, waynorth waynorth , and others (please don’t be offended that I didn’t list you all!) for making this happen. Can’t wait to get mine!
