It is good to see so many of this year’s Forum knives being used. I just can’t bring myself to use it. It is too nice of a knife. I have other knives that fulfill my edc needs.

I was lucky, the sawcut is not too pronounced.

its not a stupid question, but the saw cut appearance is a result of them sliding the chunk of bone past the band saw to cut it in half. its the finishing processes that result in how much sawcut you actually see.

I think its the same as if you saw a piece of wood...the sawcuts are the face where the sawblade has passed...er if that makes sense....rough cut...also the size if the teeth would govern the appearance of the cut?

I was ahead of my time then at school,all my woodworking efforts looked rough cut even the smooth bits.
