Blade Show 2011, it begins.........

Holding back the Brute pics is no way to treat your Becker Bros. No secret squirrel stuff.

Wasn't there something about the Brute and Patrol Machete being manufactured in Taiwan (read: not by Ka-Bar) or something similar?

This looks like a little Bad Ass.

Man, I have thought of 5 or 6 places I need to have one of these already, & it's not even here yet . . . . . :D
I'm with you C_Tanner, that blade looks 110% better . . .
Be safe.

That thing reminds me of those Buck/Strider knives that were big a few years ago.

And it does look better than black. Looks like that coating Cold Steel used which I also dont like...but not near as much as the black stuff. It's easier to get off with a scotch brite wheel though.

Never handled a Machax before. Not sure what to think about it looking at it. Any idea on probable retail price or availability date?

Ok, I'm back home, and I'm tired. The family wants some time, I got stuff to unpack, so many knives, so many knives.

I didn't get the pics I wanted to get, but Bladite did, so, you'll have a to wait a couple more days for him to get home, unless he posts up some tonight. He's hanging out at Uncle E's place, and lighting out in the morning.

Questions, questions, questions. :D

The small knife in question, is gonna stay a mystery for a while. I know, I know, but it won't be a BKT, its just, um, er, something that is in the works. What is it? Who's it designed by? When will we see it? Well, ya can keep asking, but I can't answer, at this moment, but I know how much ya'll like being teased, so, consider yourself teased. :D

The BK6 and the BK1 will be made overseas. If you want it, that's the only way it will happen. If you want it made in the USA, it will be a decade or so before it COULD be made here. 6 months if its made overseas. You tell me.

The Mini Camp, Mini Clip, and Mini Magnum along with the BK6 and BK1 will be available come January. Yeah, 6mos seems long, but it will be here before you know it. January 2012.

I apologize for not keeping ya'll up on the show, like we hoped, it was pure bedlam in there. We (me, Bladite, Toooj, Steve Johnson, Ethan, and another guy) were swamped pretty much for 3 days of the show. Toooj finally got outta the booth today, for a couple of hours to even SEE the show. Yeah, we got down like that. 6 guys, 1 15' booth, and we were covered up pretty much all the time.

There will be stuff coming out, coming down, and being reviewed here, pretty soon, we still have to get our ducks in a row, and recoup some. Sorry, just how it is.

Steve Johnson was one of the coolest guys I've ever met. We pal'd around some, and Steve has some of the most innovative ideas, some, will be coming soon, to an area near you. Stay tuned.

Zombie Knives were the bell of the ball. The doors opened on Friday at 12pm. By 12:15pm, we were literally sold out of 2 of the models. Gone. We had to have some more overnighted in from Orlean, all they had actually, and they were gone by Saturday, 10pm. We sold the last ZK knife at 3pm on Saturday. By noon on Saturday, we were selling display knives, you know, the ones you keep in your display case, to show off. Yeah, gone. We sold almost everything that was brought to the show. :D

I had a blast, got tanked a few times, done some 2am room raids (think Fiddleback Forge :D) hung out with some of the industries coolest, mostest awesomest folks ever, Adam Francis, Paul Schieder, Jim Nowka, Bob Dozier (beards still epic), Ron Hood, even met and talked with Roy Huntington from American Handgunner. I met about a dozen folks from BFC, R. Lee Ermey was there, but ta hell with waitin' in line, I was too busy to piss, to be honest. Ate some great food, drank some good Scotch (thanks Nowka), and generally had the time of my life. For ya'll that couldn't make it, I would suggest getting your stuff together for the next one, its still far enough out, to make it happen. One of the largest knife shows, and biggest parties in the industries. :D

Moose

Looks like a hell of a good time moose, thanks for sharing.

Hey Moose, did you ask Bob if he could put a rush on my Bushcraft? :p

I love you too baby

Wish I could have made it.
However, my son's team beat its nemesis on Saturday in the season-ending tournament.
I wouldn't have traded seeing that for a thousand Blade shows.

Here's a few shots of the home team.

Now THIS is a motley crew

Had to threaten this guy, Uncle E's reaction shows the blinding speed the BK2 came out....

The booth had constant and copious traffic, here's Tooj and the guys selling the hell out of knives.

And here's my little haul. A Blind Horse bushcrafter, ESEE 4, a Fiddleback Forge machete, and a KA-BAR heavy Bowie. The Remoras I picked up for Arkanian and a couple of freebies from the ESEE guys.

It was an absolute blast. Made some new friends, got to see the guys again and had a great time in general.

Guyon, spoken like a true dad. Looks like you have your world in the correct order . . . .
Only one ball game, but a ton of Blade Shows coming. Good choice.
Be safe.
