oh, that's mine :) it's about 25 years old :> nickel-phosphate finish, estaloc handles, etc... the NEW one, which is featured in some photos (and hopefully the ones i took and will take), is a might thinner - that's just a prototype though, so i'll leave off on measurements and so forth until there is a final report. can't have rules lawyers getting all cranky that something isn't .000N as reported :)

the other knife is japanese iirc, and VERY interesting :D :D :D

3/16" thick. I gots me one, I'll be posting up some stuff soon, I'm still getting life back on track here, me and another guy are the only ones at work, and the house is still settling down from the last weekend. I do have next week off though, so, perhaps..............

Thanks.
I'd prefer it a bit thicker, but me likey all the same!
Pumped for these to get released.

the prototype is a wee thinner than my 25 yo model. which is good. nearly the same. best model ever made that one.

the camillus model was essentially 1/4 inch thick, and had a poor grind, and was poor in comparison.

the new model will be fast, slicey, and chop well. according to those that know :) i'll just have to wait some :)

What? He asked how thick. I said 3/16". I did also get one, a Machax, so, :p

:D

I got a new Machaxen, its thinner, as Bladie says. It will be up for review soon too.

Yar, I got to see more than just Fiddleback's knives, we done a 2am room raid on Andy. Yeah, I got pics, but he asked me not to post them. I am a man of my word.

Smoky Mountain was across from the Strider Booth, in the back left corner. They had an assortment of knives. Funny that too, the came up on me waving a catalog, "You want a catalog, blah, blah, blah", I told him "No, I live 30mins from ya'll, if I want to see what you got, I just drive there." I love East Tenn. :D

Canal Street made the BFC Traditional knife one year.
Mammoth Ivory scales and D2 blades in a Cannitler.
That's the only one I've gotten in on so far.

i wonder if SM was not charging sales tax like most vendors. in TN they charge rape tax. which sucked buying a Temagami, but they didn't have any at the show i saw. there we go :)
