Blade Show 2011, it begins.........

I picked up one from LT too, man, it just feels right, for some good work. OD micarta, glossed, flat grind. I'll let ya'll know what I think, I been after one of these for a while. Now, I got one.

Is that a full flat grind?

It's full flat with a convex secondary grind. That combination makes a very good bushcrafter and the grinds are flawless. When the tweeners come out I plan to convex mine. That's a beauty you've got there! Mine's just green canvas micarta.

When I saw Moose's, it was over for me. Had to have one.

Moose, a big thanks for taking your time to post these shots and the "play by play" commentary of what sounds like a great show. I know, myself included, that a lot of us wished we could have been there with you, but some things in life make your choices for you.
Congrats on the new knives & other secret gear you got, glad everyone got home safe and sound . . . . . well, at least safe . . . . . . . . . :D
Be safe buddy.

Thanks, brother.

I'm workin' on your leather, but I gotta get some stuff from the supply spot.

They're great knives man. I've got this huge hankering for one of their ScaatyCrafter's, $295 for the one I want though. Gonna be a week or two I guess.

Full size workhorse, and a maverick colt. Or a frontier first. Yeah, all of those. :D

Great shots moose. Glad to see that you had a lot of fun; you do good stuff here on these boards and you deserve good times.

Oregon, that's a beautiful knife. What is the wood on the handle?
I recently put curly maple on a couple little knives and it has that cool striation, but yours is so much darker and more vivid.

Those aren't suspenders, that's his combat harness... Besides, without a belt, where is he supposed to put all his belt pouches, clips and holsters? Don't mess with another mans pants engineering system :P

Thank goodness someone understands!

If you guys like the Bushcrafter you should try the PLSK-1. It's nothing short of awesome. If I could have one outher primary knife outside of my BK9 that would be it. The Kydex/Leather sheaths are sweet too. I got to handle a Bushcrafter next to Daves PLSK-1 when I was at the Pathfinder School. PLSK-1 is the bomb! I probably would like a PLSK-2 as well, but haven't seen one of those yet. Blind Horse makes great stuff. I was about to go all in and save up for one of the 3 afore mentioned knives, but a custom set of handles and a custom sheath and a few tweaks here nad there and I fell in love with my Beckers again. Thinking I need a spare '9 now for that sheath....

Did you by chance get to check out Halibus Bush Tools?

I checked into Halibut, pretty unique design. I think I'll keep them in the front of my mind next time I go spending.

I really like the look of the Habilis Bushtools.. I was hoping there would be some good pics of them. I really need to try and get some time to attend this next year.
