Blade Show Limited edition large Inkosi

Although gold inlays would not be my first choice, and this knife is outta my price range anyways, I have a funny feeling this may be the best knife CRK has put out yet in terms of acquiring a patina / worn / "road warrior" look. With the blasted scales getting snail trails, the gold ano rubbing off the inlays, the aluminum under it getting nicked dinged (as aluminum will) and oxidizing, this has the potential to be a very bad-ass looking, well used knife. I really hope someone with the means to purchase one puts it to a lot of use. Unlikely I know, but it would be glorious I'm sure.

Aluminum Bronze is an alloy, not a bronze ano over regular aluminum. It should patina similar to regular bronze.

I think its the same alloy as the stud\lock mechanism on the ti lock. I have read silicon bronze and aluminum bronze from different retailers.

Correct- but I suspect a shipwright would know brass alloys pretty well if the name applies to a trade ;)

Such a beautiful knife! Imagine some with some gold inlays. :D

Troublemaker :D

Honestly, I would get a large Inkosi with Micarta inlays or a nice wood inlay..Not bog oak or spalted maple though.

Regardless of the small changes, the inkosi is just a small 25 in my eyes, nothing else. I'm surprised so many people consider them different knives. Also looking forward to new woods. I wish I'd grabbed a wenge when they were available. Not blown away by the UG's per usual.

I think you missed that this is the Large Inkosi, which is replacing the 25. Like the differences between the classic and the 21, they are subtle, but significant.

No I read the thread I got it. Again, I'm in the minority, but to me the large (or small) inkosi just seems like a modified 25 and they've switched the name from 25 to inkosi. Probably better to keep it a thought than a comment

I'll hold my tongue until I have it beside my 25.

Which I think is the intent. The 25 never really fit the "Sebenza" name, or at very least it was controversial in that people saw it as a different offering. It makes total sense to me that they haves dropped the "Sebenza" name from the 25 and given it its own family, including the small. The Inkosi is, I would say, supposed to be like a 25, only improved, which is why the 25 is being struck from the catalogue.

I agree with both of your statements. CRK is attempting to right the ship with the inkosi.

So, shall we expect future runs of limited quantities of mundane materials at exorbitant prices?

You sound a little upset or something. Would it make you feel better if I bought you one and send it to you? ;)

It's better than the limited edition small Inkosi for Blade this year, but to answer your question, Yes.

Now someone answer the last most important question please, and show us the backside of the "Straigh outta' Compton" Inkosi.

If I can really beg, please add a pic of the spinner hubcaps they come with.

Some of us are hoping this Inkosi is an upgrade to the 25!!
