BladeForums 2024 Traditional Knife

lol the forum knife brings out the worst in people every year. I simply just don’t have the need for such a large traditional pattern of a knife. And of course, the price helped my decision. But damn people, no need to cry and piss and moan. I can’t wait for ya’ll to get these and start posting pictures. It is for sure going to be one of the most epic forum knives in memory.

My BladeForums Knife display with my $80 (Canadian) fill-in for the 2024 knife.

Probably not a huge portion of the porch, but bear in mind the gates have not yet opened for internationals to put an order in.
Unless they ordered with a package forwarding service address such as forward2me or similar.

My billing and mailing address are both USA (part of Escapees RV Club), which also happens to be a forwarding service. Depending on when it ships, mine may end up in Europe for a while.

At 4.38" closed, the 2024 BF will be a fraction shorter than my 4.5" Laguiole. That blade is 3.625". The drawing at the top of the thread doesn't specify blade lengths for the 2024 BF. Can that information be added? It will help my imagination when comparing what to expect vs what I already have.

Is certainly a hefty girl. It’s teetering on the edge of fixed blade territory for me but not sure on blade size.

And you’ll continue to notice this. It’s now just the Blade Forum (traditional) knife, meaning it’s open to the whole forum, not just “the porch”.

It's just a chance to get locked into a GEC knife, albeit at a prepaid premium (less than a flipper anyway:)).
I like the knife, and it will be the only one I get this year so I'm in, but the whole series left "the porch" years ago.

Except for the meako meako copy, which is gold. I hope that continues.

The renderings should be accurately scaled. You should be able to take some rough measurements and do a ratio right from your computer screen.

Honestly it caused so much angst and in-fighting in the forums that I'm fine with that.
No matter the forum that you participate in, none of them are stand-alone.

All I can say is, I'm glad the forums get a forum knife, and I'm glad it's a traditional, which happens to directly benefit the more porch-ly minded.

At least some of us do because that's what the forum knife is.
I apologize. I should have elaborated more in my previous post. What I meant by the non-porch member comment was aimed at the non-paying members & those who have little to no postings at all on the forum.
I've noticed more than a few of them popping up who have just ignored reading Sparks requirements that he has posted in the original post & in a big banner at the top of the site.
It just wastes everyone's time having to remind them to look back & read.

I didn't mean any disrespect to you or the other forum members who hang out in different areas. I know we are all looking forward to this year's knife 👍
