And you’ll continue to notice this. It’s now just the Blade Forum (traditional) knife, meaning it’s open to the whole forum, not just “the porch”.I've noticed myself the non-porch members who have been trying to jump on this already.
Unless they ordered with a package forwarding service address such as forward2me or similar.Probably not a huge portion of the porch, but bear in mind the gates have not yet opened for internationals to put an order in.
At 4.38" closed, the 2024 BF will be a fraction shorter than my 4.5" Laguiole. That blade is 3.625". The drawing at the top of the thread doesn't specify blade lengths for the 2024 BF. Can that information be added? It will help my imagination when comparing what to expect vs what I already have.

The renderings should be accurately scaled. You should be able to take some rough measurements and do a ratio right from your computer screen.Unless they ordered with a package forwarding service address such as forward2me or similar.
My billing and mailing address are both USA (part of Escapees RV Club), which also happens to be a forwarding service. Depending on when it ships, mine may end up in Europe for a while.

Honestly it caused so much angst and in-fighting in the forums that I'm fine with that.I like the knife, and it will be the only one I get this year so I'm in, but the whole series left "the porch" years ago.
I think he was just getting at not worrying about the pre-order numbers & talking about the fans of GEC on the forum. I can't speak forTouhouFan though. I've noticed myself the non-porch members who have been trying to jump on this already.
I apologize. I should have elaborated more in my previous post. What I meant by the non-porch member comment was aimed at the non-paying members & those who have little to no postings at all on the forum. At least some of us do because that's what the forum knife is.
Thanks for doing that calculation and thanks to Dan for suggesting that method.I agree with Dan. If the drawing is to scale, the clip main should be around 3.35" from tip to bolster when open.
There's two kinds of countries- ones that use the metric system, and ones that put men on the moon.Fractionally (is that a word) it works out to 3 3/8" - the heck with tens, hundreds, thousands. I'm still stuck in the inch, foot, yard, world.
