BladeHQ Para 2 exclusive M4 w/ Jade G10

The wishlist system definitely has had issues in the past. We plan on remedying that this time a few different ways:

1. We will be posting here in this thread three days ahead of time to let everyone know when they will be available (date & time).

2. We will send out an email to everyone on the wishlist three days ahead of time to let them know when they will be available (date & time).

3. On the day that the knives go live we will send out a newsletter to all of our subscribers letting them know that the knife is available.

4. We will also be posting on our social media pages to let people know when the release will be (date & time).

We are going to do everything we can to get the information out there. Honestly, I am not sure that there is anything else we can do, but if you guys think of anything let us know.

I hope that everyone who wants one will be able to get one. I will tell you all that this will be the only run of these knives in this configuration. I can also confirm that we are limiting the amount purchasable to 3 per person. We are hoping that this will be fair and will allow more people who want these knives to get them.

I expect the BHQ website to be overloaded and inaccessible for the first few hours upon release.
Good on you for doing all you can to let us interested parties know before hand.

In order for everyone who wants one to get one, why not limit each account to just one knife per person per day instead of three. That'll allow more people a chance to get one on day one. Others who want more than one can try the next day.

Assuming they last three days and someone does go back each day to get another, shipping costs have now just tripled as three packages are being sent out instead of one. We pay shipping, but the handling time for employees to get three separate packages sent vs three knives in one package has increased substantially.

Yes there are limited supplies and yes, some who want one will not be able to get one. Unfortunately, this will always be the case whether we are talking about knives, cigars, Ferarris, or whatever.

I don't think its up to to us to tell BHQ how to run their business. I'd be fine with any number they said, including 1.
 
They said in above post, if anyone could think of anything else, let them know. I think it was a fine suggestion. It makes alot of sense. Alot like .22lr ammo during its peak shortage. 1 box per person per day.
 
wish they wouldn't go out of the way to notify everyone 3 different ways the exact time they're available. Seems it'll make it even tougher to grab one now

Oops, I didn't even notice that statement by BHQ. They left the door wide open.

Your suggestion is true but looking at it from BHQ's standpoint, the thought of having to box up and send out a 1000(or more)knives all over the country and maybe some internationally has to be daunting to say the least. Up the limit to 2 or more and you potentially might cut down the number of shipments.

Fewer shipments mean shipping cost for BHQ would go down too.
 
I will take the recommendation back and we will talk about it. We want to give people an opportunity to get more than 1, but possibly we could lower the limit to 2. (Some people like to have a user and a knife to put in a collection). I will let you all know what we decide.

In other news, I would like to officially announce that the Spyderco M4 Paramilitary 2 Exclusive will be available at 10:00 am MST on Thursday July 14th. Good luck to everyone who is going to try and grab one.
