BladeHQ Para 2 exclusive M4 w/ Jade G10

What I can't figure out is why the G10 is a different color right where the lock bar is. Yes you would think that the lock bar is farther away from the inside surface of the G10 but when playing with it you can push the lock bar all the way over against the inside of the G10 just like the rest of the liner but it doesn't change that appearance. Is the back of the scale inlet a little bit more where the lock bar is, i.e. the scale is thinner?

It's the same on the blurple version, the translucent scales pick up on the milling of the liners I think.

I believe it is thinner. I just took mine out and pressed the lockbar as far against the scale as I could, and it appears that the lockbar recesses further than the liners. That would lead me to believe there is a deeper cutout in the G10 for the area where the lockbar is.

I'd considering picking one up in the exchange but I'm not looking to get gouged

I'm patiently waiting for the next M4 to drop

But if I could I'd take both

Good luck. I keep watching, waiting, and hoping as well but reality is if someone does post one for sale at retail price it will be gone in seconds. You'd have to literally be stalking the Exchange 24/7. I don't fault BQ for selling multiples. It's not their concern. However, I think it's a super dick move of folks to purposefully buy multiples for the sole purpose of resell given so many folks want in on these limited runs. I suppose that's the free market though. Alas ....

Anyone want to sell me an extra for what they paid plus shipping to me? If so, PM me rather than posting here. Someone will snipe it if they see you have one you are willing to sell at a reasonable price. :D

ok BHQ, I'm officially worried. My 2 knives were supposed to arrive yesterday. Didn't show up yesterday or today. Last update from USPS tracking is that it left SLC on Saturday, the 16th. Can you please look into this for me?

Post a WTB thread. There are folks out there willing to help.

I'll look into it and get back to you.

Not surprised about mail to south Florida. I have had an issue with a wandering letter that I sent to the Miami area. It eventually got there.

the Opa Locka center is notorious for having mail sit for a few days before finding its' way

Yep. The headquarters for lost packages. I had a package stuck in their system down there for many days. It was comical......Would show shipped out then show arrived back in, and over and over for days. Had to call and convince the folks to send someone down the lines of machines or whatever and pull it out and move it manually so it could come a couple hundred plus miles northwest to me.

If you watch the liner lock (I know it's a compression lock) from the closed position to partially open, you will see that the liner lock moves further into the scales than the rest of the liner. I believe there is a ball and detent (like on other liner locks) which requires the lock to move further towards the scale than the immobile liner part.

The general generosity of people in this community initial surprised me. However, I've grown used to it in my little time here, and now I'm surprised when people turn to their human nature and list a knife they simply bought to sell for a profit. I can't blame them, but I can truthfully say that if I had bought 2, or even one, and decided to sell it, it would go for the price I paid plus shipping. I really do think most of the community is like that. I can understand that, and I really respect the people that do that and try to help others, if they have the same interests or not. This is a great place, either way.

I'm ready to see some pics from someone who has put this thing through the paces...i.e. someone who uses their knives for cutting more serious things than mail, packages, and cardboard like me ;)

I see cardboards as serious things to cut as they can quickly dull and scratch the blade.

You would sell for your cost, knowing that the person is likely to turn around and sell it for a profit? You wouldn't think twice about posting it at $166, knowing that people are buying them at $200, or more? If so - good for you.
Personally, I might sell at cost + shipping to a few people here; but I wouldn't be advertising it at that price. I've sold enough knives at lower than normal prices that I'm not going to feel badly about getting a little more for this one. I'm not the guy that routinely buys knives with the intent of selling for a profit, though...and I tend to get as frustrated as anybody else when something I want isn't available because people "invested" in them.
