BladeHQ Para 2 exclusive M4 w/ Jade G10

If you watch the liner lock (I know it's a compression lock) from the closed position to partially open, you will see that the liner lock moves further into the scales than the rest of the liner. I believe there is a ball and detent (like on other liner locks) which requires the lock to move further towards the scale than the immobile liner part.

You would sell for your cost, knowing that the person is likely to turn around and sell it for a profit? You wouldn't think twice about posting it at $166, knowing that people are buying them at $200, or more? If so - good for you.
Personally, I might sell at cost + shipping to a few people here; but I wouldn't be advertising it at that price. I've sold enough knives at lower than normal prices that I'm not going to feel badly about getting a little more for this one. I'm not the guy that routinely buys knives with the intent of selling for a profit, though...and I tend to get as frustrated as anybody else when something I want isn't available because people "invested" in them.
I wasn't clear in my post. You're completely right in selling to only a certain few at that cost. I think that is what I would do also. If it seems like they are in the right place, then I would probably sell for the 166.

Mine arrived today. Thank you BladeHQ. Both seem to be in excellent condition and well/perfectly centered. Also the jade g10 is really interesting, and the m4 is great as always.

I am dying my scales in black now. Coming out very light charcoal after 30 mins. I just added 1 cup vinegar and we will see. Also giving my blade a vinegar bath later.

Can't wait to see that! Make sure to post some pics when it's done.

Cool. Curious to see how dark the vinegar patina comes out on M4.

I used mine for some food prep and cutting up some beef and achieved a decent patina.
Just to see how well the M4 cleans up I did a quick polish with Blue Magic and it looks just like new again.
Just some general info for you guys forcing a patina but maybe having second thoughts later on.

Still pretty surprised my PM 2 took on a patina after only one use (food prep; used to cut steak, not much else). However, it looks cool.

Well, while I was dying some scales in black rit(two cups water and 1 cup vinegar at a simmer) I got crazy and dropped my whole M4 blade in for 30 seconds, then rinsed it off, then wiped it down with a cape cod polishing cloth, then washed it in with soapy water, rinsed and repeated three times. Came out bronze/copper patina. I love it! Did my best to get pics but was really hard.

Im very willing to bet that was the vinegar and not the dye. Looks awesome

And if you don't like it you can just rub it off with the cape cod again. Not sure that it was a real oxidation patina or the dye but now the blade is darker then when I started.
