I usually just hit mine with some Scotchbrite which easily gives it a nice satin finish.

I put a razor sharp polished edge on it a few days ago. The hair shaving edge is gone after cutting lots of warehouse cardboard, straps and plastic wrap but you would never know it by its real world cutting ability. Still cuts like it did right after I sharpened it. I kept the factory edge angle but whenever it looses its edge I'll change it to a 36/40 so I can touch it up on a SM.

Very nice!!!! MUCH darker than Spydesense's turned out! :thumbup: Maybe the vinegar? That gives me hope that other colors will work too. Hmm...

I also sharpened mine today. I think I have a problem! :o I too kept the factory edge angle, but took it up to a 1,200 belt, and then stropped it with green compound to a mirror finish. It sure cuts!!! :eek:

You can also make acid etching on that clip with ferric chloride. Use some 320 sand paper before to make satin. After etching you can make stonewash in peanut can with some stones and wd-40.

Example, not a Spyderco, but I did in the past exactly the same thing with PM2 pocket clip.

Maybe I'll try that out, although I'm a little confused about the stones and wd40. I could see that professional sand blaster being a lot of fun.

Simple way to stonewash.
Use small stones and shake the can till the desired texture is achieved.
I've even duct taped the can inside of some fabric and run it through the dryer.

For the most part it's gone.
Occasionally there will be a small release of a few that were held back in case of warranty replacement/repair and unforseen order fulfillment, but that's it on this one.
But I might have one extra just laying around waiting for the right buyer.;)
Been waiting for the flippers to get weeded out before I turn it over.

Welp, guess I missed out. We were out of town the week of, and week following. Didn't want to order one and not be there when it was delivered.
I'm very partial to M4 and haven't tried a PM2, thought this one would be a good introduction.
BTW, I've never sold a knife....
