Hotels. Didn’t want to get into the backpack thing. Wife drops me off, I walk, she picks me up and I start where I finished the next day. Call this a supported Trek!!

Nice. We used to call that "credit card" touring in the cycling community. Now, I feel like any touring is called bikepacking.

Me and a group of friends and kids are heading out to Alleghany in July. Some of your pics makes it seem like we need to find the NCT for a day or two.

Which trail would you say had the best rocks so far? My kids love rocks but we don't have them in SE MI like other parts of the country.

Today’s hike had some of the BEST scenery!! Started in an old growth forest and just got better from there!! Alot of KOOL packed into a 9.5 mile Trek!! And this ain’t all the kool pics I took

Taking Sunday and Monday off!!

Today’s Trek was a SUPER HILLY 13 miles!! Had a doe and her fawn real close. Was really kool!! Seemed I was climbing all day!! Bumped a grouse and got to watch it fly away!! Was a hot 82deg day. And as the week goes on the temperature keeps rising!!!
Got a 10miler tomorrow!! 83/84degs!!

Today’s Trek was thru all kinds of terrain!! Got in 8.5 before calling it quits. Next 2 days are going to be 90plus. So I am going to cut mileage back a bit!! Next week we are gonna be back into the mid 70s.

Had to ford that stream today.
First pic. Where I needed to go.
Second pic. Where I came from.
About a foot/foot and a half deep.
The rest of the Trek was mundane.
And then it got hot!! 88deg when I hit my pickup point of the day. Just 6.5 miles today and a planned 7.5 tomorrow. Supposed to be hotter.
