Grand Teton National Park. It's about 25 minutes from where I'm living, so it and Bridger-Teton are the perfect hiking spots. I highly recommend a trip if you're in the area. Or even if you're not.
awesome pics John. love fall color stuff...we get none down here. just green and instantly brown.View attachment 2367817View attachment 2367818View attachment 2367819View attachment 2367820View attachment 2367821
Yesterday’s 6 mile hike on the AT. Forgot how rocky it is. Had a real nice hike and the wife thinks we only did 5 miles!!
Heading out to Gettysburg Battle Field this morning and some covered bridges pm.
Going to do another hike tomorrow on the AT.

when l was boy my momma used to drive us to civil war battle sites and museums and such in the summer. was all over Gettysburgs and mostly in the devils den part. climbed all through those rocks. almost got stuck and lost a couple times. was a good day.....haven't been back since....
awesome. when i was there, I climbed in every hole, gap and crevice I could fit in. spent hours in there. I came out filthy and boy was my momma mad at me.
Beautiful!!Summer and Autumn have passed, so fast....but looking back:

Wow!! That is one rock river right there!!
we got no rocks here.....that 2nd pic looks like an ankle breaker trying to cross it. where's that at? is that a normal deal in mountian areas...
It's at Hawk Mountain PA. That is the river of rocks trail. The trail actually doesn't go through the rocks but I just had to climb on em. That pic was from the middle of one of several boulder fields. here's the other side of that one.we got no rocks here.....that 2nd pic looks like an ankle breaker trying to cross it. where's that at? is that a normal deal in mountian areas...
