Wish pup could see pine cones as big as pineapples. This is above Lake Washoe and Carson City, NV, before COVID. That black bear interrupted my morning coffee, so I took a picture.

*edit: knives with me were CRK Pro Soldier and SAK Alox Farmer.

Nice, we get some big ones out here, but they're more like a banana than a pineapple - we've never stumbled across a bear, not sure how he'd handle that, he'd likely want to play with the bear.

We weren't supposed to go out, only two day post surgery (Wednesday), they told me not to take him out for 7-10 days, but he was not in pain, seemed happy, wanted to chase pine cones - so he approved his own recovery as complete:

Another morning where we likely should have just stayed home.. was 0°F at the house, but when we got to the trail it was again, -8°F :(

Zeek was good for about a mile, then he was favoring different feet, I tried carrying him at times, and then wrapping him in my coat to warm up, but the second mile was super slow and I could tell he was less than thrilled.. made me feel like a horrible dog dad :(
