Been reading some. This author is also on my favorite podcasts as well and has a great television show. He is an amazing historian and conservationist. His writing is more of a conversation than anything. But he does paint great pictures while your reading.

I finally bought this book after a Cromwellian remark from @meako. (I keep remembering and forgetting it, except for the dirk-making scene and the fact that the Puritans are the bad guys.)
I was in a panic, because I couldn't find The Black Galleon anywhere. Duh. So I went to google books and searched for "He who wad a keen edge win, maun forge thick and grind thin". Turns out it's "...will a keen edge win...". Anyway, I got there.

Of course my first thought for Martha was Sabatier, but this is an Emeril Lagasse knife, and according to the card in the box, Emeril is a trademark of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

It isn't that I can't focus. I'm experimenting with Impressionist photography.
These two books were free at an estate sale Saturday. (All books were free.)
I think Dinah would appreciate a nice little Bowie knife. This is one of those unmarked ones I believe to be Uticas.

Sorry to learn she's dead. 1994. Nothing gets by me, not for long.
