Blue Umnumzaan

I just dropped it off at the post office today before I saw your post!!!!!

I'll try and post pics soon... Comparison shots between a regular, one with LSCF scale, and a StarTac.... Of course with the anodized blue one as well :)

Maprik, what other colors can you do? I just bought a Zaan and I'm interested in having this done.

Blue is my thing. Light, dark, purplish. I can also do bronze. But ModifiedZ can do higher voltage colors like yellow, gold, and green.

If I have you do sonething of mine, I'll ask you to go for dark and purple. One os my fave colors anywhere is tanzanite blue/purple.

Would red be a higher voltage color?

Wow. Just curious, can you (or anyone) do two coats of ano, just to give extra wear protection, or is that even possible? Always wondered about multiple coats of anodizing.

That gives me another idea that might be cool for a Zaan. Anodize to a higher voltage color, sand off the flat surface area, leaving the color in the grooves. Then go back and anodize again to get the surface area to a complimentary color. Maprik, would that work? Maybe purple and blue?

Yes, it would! Exactly as you described! But blue is a higher voltage than purple. So you would get blue lines and purple handles.
