Did you scotchbrite the scales on this knife? Would you call this the darker matte finish referred in your sebenza post? Looks incredible!
 
I do scotch brite the scales on most of the CRKs. Bead Blast just does not wear very well. Stonewash and scotch-brited hides scuffs and scratches so much better. This is an example of the darker matte finish that I just did a couple days ago for someone.

Hope to have them back tomorrow and post a whole knife photo. If anyone is thinking about having Maprik do work, don't hesitate. He is professional, reasonable, and had them done the same day he received the scales. Great experience and a good guy to know.
 
Can't wait to see it all put together!!!! I just remembered that I forgot to remove the electrical tape that I used to protect the lock face and the detent ball. I can see it in the photo. Ooops. When you remove the tape you might want to remove any residual stickyness with goo gone or windex. So you don't get a sticky lock issue... Sorry!
