Boker "Tree Brand Classic" & Solingen made traditional knives

Is beefy, Boker, Thursday a thing?

It certainly is now! Love this whole post.
😎👍

I’m really enjoying seeing all these Boker knives. I think I might be more interested in these than GEC knives lately. Boker has been coming out with some very cool knives, the quality seems to be good, and they are readily available. And because posts are better with pictures…

Key points for me. I'm loving the brass and copper builds.

Shhhh! Fellas, maybe we should keep this a secret. 🤣

The Barlows are great and so is the knife they call the “Barlow Prime.” Which is basically a boy’s knife, exactly the same size as a 15. I hope Boker puts a clip blade in this frame soon. I’d lose my mind. 🤪D3748FB6-15FC-443D-8F9D-7A3166830B9E.jpegBA8A163E-CDA5-4F33-BB47-CACDABB57653.jpeg
Not to mention these beauties. 😉👍

Love the spear point Bokers, also the clip point trappers are nice, I have a single clip point trapper in dyed red bone I got years ago, it is a nice etch to the blade. I think it is a 2526 slim line trapper.

…and as GEC prices increase at the dealer level these Bokers become even more attractive.

Seeing some comments on QC issues I’ll add my experience. I received both of these at the same time. The Sherman Damascus had horrible action out of the box…I mean the worst. It has a half stop, but required continuous pressure to close. Absolutely no walk n talk. The copper bolster was better, but not much. I almost sent them right back, but I oiled them and worked them open/closed for a bit. Within 10 min the gunk cleared out and now they have some of the nicest action of all my slip joints. I’ve tested the action against my GEC Barlows and have to admit they are better. That said they were also 2x+ the price of a GEC, so they should be better. All in all ended up being really nice knives. Glad to have them.

I have not seen that copper damascus. Does it have a name? Is it special edition? Where did you order it? She's gorgeous!
Got it from a European distributor. PM me if you are interested in specifics. I’ve not seen it at a US distributor.
