Boker "Tree Brand Classic" & Solingen made traditional knives

My issue with the SFO Barlows is that the folks that pre-ordered, like myself and l’m sure others here on the porch, paid quite a bit more for both the Barlow and the Club. It wasn’t long after they started shipping that the price was discounted. Haven’t checked them in awhile, but the price they were selling for is a good deal.

Agreed. It was my most-carried knife last year. I'm forcing myself to rotate through other knives this year, might lead to more culling down the road.

Luckily the issues with mine are minor enough I don't feel the need to fix anything.

My Copper Barlow I think was full price, the Expedition Stockman and Copper Stockman were at reduced price. The Copper Stockman I received is so close to perfect it's a steal for the price IMHO.
 
Come to think of it, I had blade play on my first Bog Oak Barlow. I squeezed the bolsters together, peened in the proud pins, smoothed down with scotch-brite, and they still show but are nice and rounded.

I was going to send my two defective ones back to Boker but we just moved and I cannot find anything... anything at all... we're living out of boxes... my kids even hide in those boxes and we cannot find them....
 
Wish Boker would’ve kept making variants of these …

Was looking at the Green Birch today online, but I’m trying my best to behave.

I thought I lost this one a couple months back at work, then a week later it fell out of my office chair when I plopped myself down. Phew!

Thanks! I’ve seen a few that had less character/figuring so I definitely lucked out.

I think most of the ones I’ve seen have been really nice though - didn’t want to throw any shade as Boker did great with these.
 
A Barlow with a bottle opener is such a perfect combination. I am amazed they are not more popular.

They are beautiful knives, but I think cost my be an issue. At $200 there’s always one of their Club knives and an old fashion church key that will get the job done. 😀
