Thank you for telling me. :) I haven't forgotten either and keep hoping daily that somewhere someone will see it or hear about it and send word back to Mr. Bose or myself.

I'd hoped that the miscreant responsible would have been tracked down by now. It seems he has a knife he can't take out of the house, can't photograph, can't tell anyone about, can't write about, can't show anyone, and won't be able to trade or sell. Hope it turns up Jaxx, but I doubt the thief is enjoying the knife he stole from you.
 
What was the end game here? "I'm going to immorally purchase a VERY expensive, VERY visually appealing pocket art/tool, so that I can show all my friends and family nothing, because I can't show anyone......" Congrats on the poach I guess, was it worth it?

I doubt it was premeditated. Seems to me more like the culprit saw an opportunity and pounced on it without thinking (and/or caring) about any consequences.
 
Jaxx, I just wanted to let you know that people are still searching for your knife. One came up in the exchange today (not your knife) and just the words zulu spear triggered my memory of this thread. I was there when it went down.

I think it was premeditated. Not specifically to poach Jaxx's knife, but someone was watching closely to jump into the line and poach a Bose knife.

My guess is that the culprit was watching for a winner who was at the back of the line and distracted by their win. Jaxx was super excited to win the draw and we were all congratulating him on winning the best knife. That made him the last in the line to claim his knife.
The culprit must have been watching this, saw his opportunity and snuck in early.

I have a question, what is it that one could do about it? The con guy did buy the knife, so it's not a stolen item, so what can you do if you locate the knife? Is there a violation of some sort of criminal statute?

Bumping as Blade is this weekend. Who knows, this guy might show up again this year. Also as a reminder to folks who win to be careful.

It was a low act to be sure....
However, I was thinking the same thing.

Luckily there will always be another knife :)
