Boom Parang. . . . . . Sneak Peek!!! . . . Pics & Specs . . .

That sure is different! I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. If it's only 1.8" tall toward the end, it's not much different than a Basic 11 or 1111, except being thinner. Hmm...

The 1.8 doesn't make sense.

To me, it looks like maybe 2.25 at the end. Would be nice to see it next to something familiar for scale. Like another battle mistress.

I'm keen to see what variants come out of this design.

Scimitar variant!

As much as I like this knife, I have way to many biguns and still have three special ASHBM's coming to me some day

Boom Parang just went live! Got one dressed black with black/orange G10 and another desert sage with green canvas. Hellaciously good deal on these, if you ask me.

Width seems off to me too, but I'm no expert. What's the width where the talon hole is? Wishing the blade was wider.

Given that I already have a Chop House ordered, I think I'll be able to resist this.

I am using your post to support my own resistance, thank you for it. I'm trying to convince myself that I need my chophouse and ratweiler in hand before buying any more of these...

I absolutely know that my opinion means exactly JACK, but ...

As far as the concerns about the handle being too big, that handle SCREAMS for a bit of modification if it does not fit your hand. That is why machetes come with over sized handles.....and hammers ....and a lot of other tools meant to be fitted to the individual customer. Jeez, I can see about 6 or 8 mods already....not including the brilliant scimitar tip suggested. Big handles =no problem.

The design is a classic hard use design meant for tool boxes, under truck seats, chuck boxes, and tackle boxes.

Wish we could make an order, but the money is already promised on a DTBM from the last special offer.

This would make a great big knife for a big /little combo.
