Didn't know that. I told my son that you're into rock climbing. He'd like to meet you one of these days. He lives in Lakewood.

We're planning a big climbing trip to WY and UT this summer. Will likely drive through CO. If he's around, it would be great to meet him!

need a favor, I am looking for blademag may 2015, if you could mail it to me ASAP or drop it off to me at bladeshow that would be awesome!!

I still have a pair of SMC carabiners from the 70's, but never got into any real climbing. Rocks are nice to look at from flat ground. :)

should show that to Ethan, classic gear :D

Well, I found my dream truck for sale today, an 81 jeep j10. Now to find a way to make 4500 bucks

I'm sure you can think of some way to make the money.

Cool. He and his girl just returned from Utah to camp and climb.

Very. I don't think it's much, but hey, a sponsorship is a sponsorship. My son is outdoorsy, and likes maintaining the integrity of it. He likes the idea of the colored chalks to blend in better. The white doesn't look so good on the rocks, you have to admit.
This is very cool. I know nothing about rock climbing other than it is really hard, involves rocks, climbing and a bunch of gear. But a sponsorship of any kind is impressive.

He used to play semi-pro paintball too, and was sponsored for that as well. I guess he's a smooth talker, haha.

All these pictures of climbing and rappeling equipment are pissing me off again at the axx who stole my gear bags of ropes, harnesses, high-angle rescue gear and associated equipment. Along with a bunch of other stuff that grew legs the same night when my warehouse was broken into.

I had a gear bag with 3 harnesses, 2 chest harness rigs, CMC eared 8s for each harness, and 4 Petzl helmets, 4 bags with 300 foot of rope each, another large bag with 6 75" ropes for use as anchors, a couple of bags with probably 75+ 'biners, a duffel bag of 1", 2" and 3" strap, and a couple of bags of assorted equipment like Gibbs ascenders, anchor plates, and more oddball stuff. All accumulated over a couple of years by hawking newspaper ads, thrifty nickle mags. Our fire department was so poor, we couldn't even pay attention. and I had a good job at a computer company, so I bought a ton of HA equipment for our department to use.

Lol. That and pretty good at both.

Yep, he's extremely dedicated at whatever he's into at that moment. It was paintball, then he was in a band, then he bought equipment to make beats and sell them online, then it was bodybuilding, now rock climbing.

JD: That's the one featuring one of your blades, right? I think I have it; I'll give you a call or message you when I find it.

Figured this was the right page to share with you guys, because it isn't exactly Becker related, baha. But I recently made this knife for my girlfriends dad and wanted some opinions! Do you think i could sell my knives?

Nice lookin' piece, wrK....and you can always sell your knives - if someone is willing to buy them. Ain't no harm in trying....so long as you don't break any forum rules ;). What kind of file is that made from?

Holy crap I've been busy. So, this month I was able to sweet talk my manager to let me go to day shift for ojt from them. After work each day I've spent it in the shop working leather and what knots. This weekend I went shooting with the family and today I rebuilt the carbs (4) on my goldwing. Still not running entirely right but it's somewhat better... So it looks like this pay check I'm gonna get an electronic ignition setup for it and see how that goes.

It is a ferrier rasp. My grandfather has been making knives for many years though I don't know him very well, he has always used old ferrier rasps.

i'm finding the idea of this: very interesting:

A.R.T. Ropeguide with Cocoon Pulley, you'll have to google in the interest of not deal spotting...

"next level" for the tree climbing... because it would require ANOTHER rope, and some bits, and training and "oh my". it would also allow the use of a Petzl ASAP or ASAP LOCK for self-arrest in case of say, rope breaking, or having to bail out RIGHT NOW...

doesn't look like a lot of climbers have a backup line (esp on another safe anchor point (second tree)). wonder how many die? :P
