Bose Knives

Good goin Randy...nice addition to the Bose thread.

Vince,

Just doing my part to keep the market flowing. Waiting for the sound of Fedex truck brakes.

Here is another nice T.Bose desk knife that I just finished up a sheath for. It is the short version of the Wharncliffe desk knife that he makes. The OAL is 6 3/8". The blade is 1/8" thick ATS-34 with great looking stag and stainless pins.

Kerry,

Your sig line cracks me up. If I had a nickel for every time that saying, "If it was easy girls could do it", has got me in trouble ....... :D

Oh yeah, great knife and sheath too!

Here is an unusual knife from T.Bose, a Diamond Edge Cattle Knife. It is 3 5/8" With Remington bone, ATS-34 blades and springs, 410 SS liners/slanted bolsters & caps, and SS pins and pinned SS shield. Diamond Edge Cut. Co. was a trademark of Shapleigh's Hdware Co.

Going to Atlanta Blade Show.

Here is a 3 3/4" 3-blade sowbelly by Reese Bose. He dyed and jigged the brown bone. The blades/springs are ATS-34, SS bolsters/liners/caps/pins/shield. We call this a "sowbelly shield". Does anyone know it by another name?

All those are sweet, but I'd give Randy's left (you know what) for that sowbelly! Now, get in my pocket!!! LOL!

Very curious...maybe that sowbelly shield is a swimsuit barbie breastplate shield. I guess some of you experts will have to verify this one because I don't know which one came first.

LMAO !!

I'm not sure which one came first, and I'm no slippie expert, but...Among the many incarnations Mattel attributed to Barbie, surely one of the most memorable was the folksy:

"Sowbelly Barbie." ;) :p :D

OUCH!!! That "Sowbelly Barbie" should come with eye patches (for the collector)!!! :p :D

Kerry thanks (I think).

Your pictures are great, the only problem I have is that I can not wait to see them now and it is all your fault. I am sitting here holdin' my rabbit's foot, four leaf clover and what ever else I can dig up already hoping I'll get drawn for one at Blade (or at least one of you guys :p, if my luck runs out.) :D.

Seriously, getting to see these is a pleasure that is appreciated.

You're thinking of it upside down -- it's a one-piece strapless swimsuit (suitably filled out), just like the old pinups. Turn it over and enlarge it and you'll see.

Thanks for posting those Kerry. Everytime I go through this thread I try to think of what I would pick if I could have just one of them. They're all so nice that's impossible.

I really like the cattle knife, and I also like the bone on the coke bottle.

It's going to be a feeding frenzy at Blade.

I always called that sowbelly shield an hour glass shield. I have put that on trappers and other patterns before.

I hope that is my Beavertail??!! Crossin my fingers!! WOW>>that cattle knife is SWEEEEET!!!

Because of it's shapely connotations, I've always thought of the sowbelly shield as the "Mae West" (albeit a YOUNG Mae West;) !
And I agree, it's upside down on Barbie! (Not the PINK Barbie! EEEWWWW as my daughter would say:barf: )

I am just blown away by the beautiful knives from the Bose boys! Reese, if you are there, you do a great job jigging that bone!!
