Bose Knives

Yea, it was a pleasure chattin with him. I'll definitely see you in Atlanta and just might take you up on the drink.

This thread is almost obscene, the knives are so cool.

Received one a few weeks ago that I ordered from Reese a while back. Looks like the one below, but without the shield. Will post pics of the actual knife when I get back to my other place where it is stored. The ivory is really a nice color with good "grain".

Not quite sure how to do the Jessica Alba analogy, so I will say this knife is like Charlise Theron - lean, beautiful and curvy with creamy scales.

Man that knife is beautiful! Congratulations Jeff!
I am sure all the rest of the Bose hos are drooling and plottin'. :D.

The first big folder is from around 1977 or 78 and the old gunstock is probably 80s. I will have KHam take some post worthy pics for your viewing pleasure, at The Blade. These will have to do for now..

Thanks JB!!

Randy

Geode, that serpentine pattern is such a great knife!
I should be so lucky!!

Thanks for the history lesson Randy. Great knives! Are you bringing them to the Blade? I have an older Bose I will bring also! It would be cool to have an archive of old Bose patterns somewhere!! (Tony may cringe a little at that! The wages of perfectionism<G>)

Thanks Waynorth!! Glad you like the pics and yes I will bring some for show and tell.. I like to see the progress over the years..I have been looking for an older T. Bose ever since I let my first one go about 10 years ago. Its good to pick up a few new Bose but I will be out of green before I even see Blade ;( I may make a "Will Work For Knives" sign and set out at the ramp during the show and see if I can pick up a little for trade... ;)

Oh..I think I see a hint of Saddlehorn in that first knife..

Only 9 days left!!

I'll toss this in the old knife group photo. I think I've posted it before. Showed Tony this one last weekend and he grinned a little bit...mostly at the worn down stag.

Thanks for posting CNAS!! That's a dandy!!

Riad..Nothing but love from this end.. ;).. See ya in about a week Broheem..first round is on me:D

This is a first, two firsts actually. This Tony 4.5" BP is stamped "1" and sports a keyhole shield (sometimes called a "chicken bone shield" and yours truely coined "scrotum shield" :D ) which is a first for a Bose knife.

The blade is a fairly new design for Tony and we have posted one other knife like this that is ivory. Blade and spring steel is CPM-D2.

If Geode's knife is the "lean and curvy Charlize", then I would have to say this knife is the "big, beautiful, and nasty Anna Nicole". ;)

They do not get any better than that, Congrats to Tony, I hope it is going to Blade so I can have my number drawn and take it home.:)
Jim

PS: Pics ain't bad either.:D

Love the blade shape on the half skinner! Very eye appealing knife all the way around!

Does Tony use his 14 inch contact wheel to cut the swedges or?

Funny you should mention that because we were talking about that last night while I was sweating over some swedges. I asked him which was easier to cut swedges on and he said he uses the 14" wheel. I imaging that's because that is what was on the grinder when he ground the blade of whatever knife he is working on. That's the "go to wheel" for almost every blade he grinds. Very few blades get a 10" hollow grind.

Thanks for the quick reply! I also like seeing older examples of Tony's knives. Gives me some hope!

It would be nice to see a "vintage Bose" thread

Ken
