Great Knife John, thanks for sharing.

Mike, whoever made you mad and made you change avatars AGAIN, needs to be horsewhipped. I know what you look like and that ain't it. Pretty Please with Cream on top, take it down. :D

It's close enough Mike just leave it up. :D

Just keep racking your brain it will come to you.

John, at the half-stop position, does that blade have one? I have never seen an exposed spring before on a T.Bose. Of course, I am new to the Bose Fever and Addiction.

No Half stop on that bad boy ...I cant think of any on Sowbelly's off the top of my head...I will have to think about this. none on lockbacks either I dont think

Some of the makers today are putting half stops on sowbellys but I've never seen one from the past that had half stops. Being the pure traditionalist I am, I make them without half stops.

Thanks Tony, I told you I was a newbie.
But positively addicted.

There are some others, too, that have no half stops. That Reese whittler I recently posted does not, witch leads me to ask, what is that pattern called ? Is it a dog leg split backspring whittler?
Or serpentine,or Rodgers whittler?
Not quite sure what the proper Bose name of the knife is,Thanks,
-Vince

Pruner (aka Gardener's Knife), H-T-T, LockBack Whittler (alot of Whittler's) all have no half stops

Thanks Joe, Here is another example of a "non-half stop" folder, I guess you call it a rounded tang???

Your knife is a wharcliffe whittler, Vince. The name refers to the handle pattern as well as the blade.

What can brown do for you? In this case....MAKE YOU CRAZY!:D

This Eureka Jack (#8) has beautiful brown hand jigged bone scales, ATS-34 blades and springs, and SS bolsters/caps/pins/pinned federal shield, and is chocolatey delicious.
